Feeley v Frerotte

I couldn't agree more. I hate bickering with my fellow Dolfans. We're wasting so much venom that should be directed at the Jets.

I personally am happy to see Brock Berlin come on as a free agent, I think in a year or two he could develop in to a starter. Does anybody else think this is possible with his telent level or am just living a pipe dream?

No disrespect, but I feel that it is a pipe dream. If A.J doesnt work out, then I feel next years FA, or draft are the only ways to go about correcting the QB situation.

i expect frerotte to win the starting job. he's always beena quality starter, seemingly able to move the offense whenever(and with whichever team) he's played.

i hope Aj wins, is GUs wins then we knew we wasted alot and to much for AJ, and if he wins HAHAHA to all those who doubted him

uh, we wasted a pick on Gordon. He now has no chance to start, so that pick went down the crapper. If Feeley is a bust, its a wasted pick, deal with it. Its from a previous regime, Saban can't change that.

I think that it should be whoever will bring the wins. However we got them is now immaterial - we shouldn't play anyone for any reason other than they are the best player we have at that position. Admittedly, whoever has the bigger upside should have some influence, but how they got here is a comment on previous regimes - it shouldn't be something the current team/staff has to pay for.

if AJ could hit those deep passes like ive seen Gus do with many different recievers then I would prefer Feeley. However he cant so Gus should win unless he turns into father time and cant cut it(he did look pretty good with the vikes when Dante got hurt). So i think Gus should win the job and i agree i hope its only for a year, next year there should be more options out there in the FA pool and Draft. Feeley is not our future, I blame Rick Spielman for making you think different.

I wear my #7 proudly for those laser-beam throws through double-coverage to D.T. I also wear it when he laser-beams one to a safety on the other team just for good measure... just like another favorite HoF'er.. Brett Farve.

I can almost appreciate an interception instead of a Fiedler scramble.. sack.. and loss of 10+ yrds.

I want A.J. to start because we/I need to know what he can do. I need to know once and for all if he is our future. If he is, GREAT. If he isn't, then we need to know so we can draft one and look to the future.

ouch...pipe dream...quite the shot at gus and AJ

AJ will start at QB this season. He has to,Nick needs to evaluate his ability(all season).IMHO AJ would have to severly blow it to have Gus(I feel he's more of a Mentor for AJ and emercency QB) start in front of him.I think Nick and Scott have more faith in AJ then they let on to( in order to push him to play better)i.e. picking up the new offense. If they didn't have some belief in AJ they would have drafted some QB in "this" draft, cause it will be a two year wait for a new QB be to be ready to start. This year while AJ plays and next year while the new QB(drafted 06')learns the offense, doubt a rookie starts day 1 unless it's a Dan Marino type and I don't think that's very likely.I look for AJ to have a pretty productive year(throwing the ball) providing they can protect him alittle better.JMO

Obviously Saban is comfortable letting Feeley and Frerotte sort out the starting QB. I don't think having Frerotte start is necessarily a bad thing - he's familiar with the offense, he did well when Culpepper was out. He, admittedly, had more weapons than we did, but still - whoever is the best option to win games should start. I think Frerotte could start for two years. Just an opinion.

Maybe Frerotte starts eventually but for give Feeley every single snap in preseason. He needs it and we need it to see if he's really worth that number 2.

Frerotte knows the system so he can be backup and just take over if needed.

.. behind last year's o-line the sacks were almost inevitable. Forcing a throw was the only available way to move the ball forward with no run-support.
