Okay this is the last time I'm going to break it down for you. Jay cannot perform under pressure and is not clutch, clutch means to consistently perform in big-game situations, and nothing is bigger than the final 4 games of the year and the playoffs, so why don't we take a look at his stats:
2003
13-31, 111 yds, 41.9 comp %, 0 TD, 2 int, 25.1 rating
21-40, 240 yds, 52 %, 0 TD, 2 int, 50 rating
8-17, 46 yds, 47.1 %, 1 TD, 1 int, 48.9 rating
21-29, 328 yds, 72.4 %, 1 TD, 1 int, 106.7 rating (game didn't matter)
2002
15-29, 196 yds, 51.7 %, 1 TD, 1 int, 70.5 rating
21-32, 237 yds, 65.6 %, 1 TD, 0 int, 98 rating
15-21, 177 yds, 71.4 %, 2 TD, 1 int, 108.6 rating
11-25, 140 yds, 44 %, 1 TD, 0 int, 70 rating
2001
16-28, 149 yds, 57.1 %, 0 TD, 3 int, 32.3 rating
21-37, 320 yds, 56.8 %, 1 Td, 0 int, 94.4 rating
16-29, 191 yds, 55.2 %, 2 Td, 1 int, 84.1 rating
9-16, 110 yds, 56.3 %, 1 TD, 0 int, 98 rating
2000
13-21, 200 yds, 56 %, 3 td, 0 int, 113 rating
13-28, 175 yds, 42 %, 1 Td, 4 int, 44 rating
12-25, 150 yds, 48 %, 0 TD, 1 int, 65 rating
30-45, 240 yds, 66 %, 0 Td, 0 int, 88 rating
Playoffs
19-34, 185 yds, 54 %, 1 Td, 3 int, 52 rating
18-37, 176 yds, 49 %, 0 td, 3 int, 21 rating
15-28, 122 yds, 53 %, 0 Td, 1 int, 50 rating
Which equals about 160 yards a game, 16 tds, 24 interceptions, a horrible pass completion % and an even worse qb rating...so what's the excuse now?
You need to come through at least 50% of the time to even be considered clutch, Fiedler is more like 33%...so even though he may have had games where he is clutch, overall he has proven that he cannot consistently play well in the clutch. He's had like 6 good games out of 18 including the playoffs, sorry I don't want my qb to show up every three games I'll pass. Fiedler is not clutch, he's had a few clutch performances but in the majority he has proven he cannot perform under pressure. Blame it on whatever you Fiedler lovers want, his stats and our record in December and the playoffs tell the real story...
