Fielder mad he was benched

Fans Booing Fiedler

I've seen articles and posts about Fiedler not getting a fair shake with the fans since he was the one who replaced Marino, but I dont buy it.

I mean, he's had some good games, and many good plays over his 4 years with the Phins, and he gets the cheers from the fans for those plays.

The problem is, he's missed too many plays that should have been made, and had some ugly turnovers on top of that. That first INT in the end zone Saturday was horrible...I just get the feeling in close games that he's eventually going to screw up.

That being said...if you're at the stadium, I think it's counter-productive to boo ANY player on the team you are supporting. The coaches are going to make the call about who's in there regardless of what the fans think, and for a player who's struggling in a home game, it's only going to make it worse when he's booed by his own fans.

Jay has had 4 years starting in the league...in a league where you can never have enough depth at QB. Several teams out there need QB even if it is to start while their draft picks are being groomed.

NYG, Washington, Zona, Dallas, Oakland, San Diego, San Francisco, all have had QB problems this offseason.....NONE of them was interested in Jay.

Speaks volumes.

At the stadium (where the money is spent) is the only place that the fan's voice can be heard. If everyone cheered when Jay trotted off the field after his 2nd INT, he'd be probably starting next week, and Wanny would be watching the tape with ears by his side.

I dont think Jay was mad. I saw his post-game interview and he just seemed naturally upset and dissapointed. I dont think that just because he's had struggles before and came back is enough to give him more chances like he told reporters, ITS THE STRUGGLES EARLY ON that are killiing us as much as anything else.

Nonetheless, I dont doubt Jay will be out their next weekend assisting AJ on the sidelines, he's always been a stand up guy and a class act.

But mad? Not really, dont try to piant him as some furious QB we can laugh at b/c he doesnt relize he's not good enough. Upset, of course, I'd wouldn't expect less from a guy who wants to go out there and lead this team to a SB.

Oh really now...Does Jeno James throw int's...Does Seth slap the ball out of Jays hands....Does St.CLair have Dumbo ears ....No so it's none other then JAY"S fault....maybe a lot of this fault is Wanny's for keeping his sorry a$$ here for too long...:fire:

RotoWire Recommends: Fiedler and the Dolphins' offense were pathetic in the first half and A.J. Feeley took over in the third quarter. Fiedler was a brutal 5-of-13 for 42 yards and two interceptions before getting yanked.

Dude we know the OL is not the best in the world okay. Who performed better behind the weak line??? Nuff said. One more thing ......why are you always so negative and out to go against what anyone else says?

He does have a point on slow starts and DW is an idiot for not stickng to one QB.He didn't put A.J in a good stituation either.

STOP with Bull**** Dave and stick with the starter.I would like to see A.J start from now on even if he sucks remainers of the games.I'm just really down right now.The game was just horrible!

I disagree. I don't believe Jay is going to accept his demotion graciously. You believe he is a stand up guy, but I've heard comments from Jay and his agent that suggest otherwise. I posted the other day that Jay will become a malcontent once he is benched because he stated right after AJ was acquired that he will no accept being a back up in Miami. I see Jay doing basically the same thing Doug Flutie did in Buffalo.

If AJ plays well next week and if he is our guy for the remainder of the season, then trade Jay. We can take the cap hit we have the room. Find a team that NEEDS a QB (Dallas) and just trade him for a 6th or 7th round pick. Be done with it. End the controversy which is what this team will need.....in about 3 weeks when the ONLY thing being talked about is AJ vs JAY.

First comment is true, 2nd part is not. Jay Fiedler is a backup quarterback. He should not be starting for an NFL team. He makes poor decisions, does not have a strong arm, and is not very accurate.

I agree. I fully believe that Sage can be a capable number 2 quarterback for this team, and he's yet another player that brings an upside when compared to Jay Fiedler. Miami can bring back Clint Stoerner to be the #3 quarterback.

Why is everyone shocked that Jay is "upset or angry"? Wasn't it just this past offseason that he was told they were looking for a new qb? Just the thought of being a BACKUP didn't sit well with Jay so he shopped around. Well here we are with the 1st game of the season behind us and Jay was pulled. Jay firmly believes he should be the starter for this team and I couldn't disagree more. Granted he has won us many games and he does have alot of heart, but he just doesn't seem to be the better qb..By his actions he is going to cause some animosity within the team if they don't quell the situation quickly. This is supposedly a team game, deal with it and move on

I always supported Jay. But screw him. I'm sick of liking him cause he has heart. Screw heart we need talent. And the respect in the locker room means jack sh*t to me. I want wins, and it is very clear that we have no chance whatsoever if we need to depend on his arm to win games.
