Final Score: Dolphins @ Texans

I honestly don't know, if I'm being honest. Becuase right now I hate the Dolphins, I truly hate them.

I'm furious that the franchise wasted the last 5 years and countless draft picks on a rebuild that took us back to the exact same situation weve been in for decades, we wasted over a billion dollars on players who can't win big games or form a complete roster and I'm even more furious Girer is still employed.

In close to leaving, I truly am, I've said if Grier doesn't get fired at the end of the year, I'm leaving because I'll no longer be a fan of this team in any way.

As to the reason I'm still such a pain in the ass on FH, just take off the Aqua Glasses for 2 minutes and look at things through a critical lens and you will see the double standard bull **** that's allowed on here.

Aaaaand...why do you think that is?

I'm not being a dick. Seriously. (Edit: At least...I'm REALLY trying to not be.) But...this is a fan board. It isn't a Crossfire debate in which there's an expectation for equal parts positivity and negativity. Expecting "fair and balanced" is like going to a Muse concert and expecting equally positive and negative reviews online afterward.

You can actively root against other teams here. Actively rooting against the Dolphins is a bannable offense. That's a double standard, and it makes perfect sense here.

It's called "FinHeaven." You have to expect a little bit of leaning and bias toward hope and joy for the Dolphins. There are blind loyalists. There are also those who acknowledge the team's shortcomings, but still choose to root for them.

I try to fall into the second category, with the acknowledgement that I'm going to be pissed sometimes, and I'm going to be happy sometimes. But I can't control what Miami does. I am not responsible for their success or failure, and their losses are not a reflection on me personally. Taking that to heart has been oddly difficult, as I suspect it is for you.

It doesn't matter if the defense can't stop anybody. They made the Jets offense look real good. I expect the Texans to score at least 30 points in this game.
We will stop them, or have good chances. CJ Strout isn't the same as last season . If we can establish some resemblance is pressure early, we will rattle him, and he will start missing his WRs.
I'm more concerned of Mixon and their running game and their defense.
If we are using the jets as a barometer, they just scored 13 points on them, so we will see.

Yes, I've taken it to heart. It's impossible not too, I don't have any other Dolphins fans anywhere around where I live, to help gas-light me back into optimism.

I have Chiefs fans, who, becuase they are decent people, have been rooting for the Dolphins for me out of pity. It's disgusting, I don't want their pity, it just makes it worse.

Its 100% my fault for letting it get to me and I know your not trying to be a dick, I appreciate and understand where your coming from, but it's not easy to just shrug off this latest "rebuild failure."

Also, take into account that I was told to leave the forum, multiple times, by multiple posters before this season becuase i knew the roster was once again built incorrectly and said it out loud. - I hold grudges, it's been a part of my persona for my entire life, it's a bad habit that I need to work on, admittedly.

Most of the people who told me to leave, were the exact same people celebrating Tuas individual stats and prioritizing that, over the teams success this season. Hence the on going war with these posters.

I understand.

Here's the fun thing with the Chiefs fans:

From 1992 to 2017, (25 years!) the Chiefs did very, very little except let their fans down. They won a grand total of two playoff games. They were always viewed as the team that couldn't get it done, couldn't get over the hump, etc.

And then, one day, they did. it might not be pity. It might be understanding.

Ya and Aaron Rodgers was playing badly until he faced the Dolphins defense. So I could totally see CJ Stroud having a breakout game this week against the weak Dolphins secondary.

Let's hope not. I had CJ Strout as my FF QB so that's why I watched a lot of the Texans games. I became as frustrated with him and the Texans pass attack just as I was with my dolphins and their D. I ended up dropping Strout once I got Tua.
Mixon is a real threat though.

I was extremely pessimistic about this game but I’m starting to think Miami’s speed might put on a show on that fast track in Houston. I’m also thinking Chop might have a big game.

Dolphins 32
Texans 23

Not questioning the voracity of your post, but what kind of convoluted fantasy league is it where you were able to get Tua after the fact? Did someone foolishly drop him after he came off IR?

I guess so. It's a sleeper friends 12 team FF league sprinkled in with some hardcore friends of friends.

The IR is a bit strict and there's only one spot. So I guess who we the previous owner had someone on the IR already and couldn't afford to carry Tua on the active roster.

He was dropped right after the Buffalo game ..which probably mirrors the sentiment at that time that Tua might be out for the whole season/ retire bla bla..
I picked him up before the Bills game. And started Tua on week 10 vs the Rams and never looked back.
It's funny though that Tua roster status was 67% at the time and it's 82% only this week with 48% starting him in sleeper leagues.
Whereas Strout is 84% albeit with only 27% owners starting him.

I can't believe people still don't Trust Tua and he is somehow a sleeper after 4 top 10 weeks. Which should make him at least 90% and above rostered I think.
