Final score: Patriots vs dolphins

Surprised at how so many people think we are putting up over 30 on the Pats D when our offense scored over 30 once last yr.....for us to win our D will have to keep it under 20, I don't trust RT getting in a shoot out with Belicheat and Revis......

Homers, crackheads & fools on this forum. We will not beat the Pats on opening day! We are a joke of a franchise & proved that yet again last year.....this year will be no different. We would be better off with Lauren Tannehill at QB......she's as bout as talented as her husband & would do better at getting us some media exposure for anything other than bullying & being the laughing stock of the league.

The only glimmering hope this team has is Marino is back. Hopefully he can change the "culture" of this once proud franchise behind the scenes.

Get ready for 6-10.

Pats 28-10

Wow, this is a strong indictment from an man that averages 3 posts a year over 12 years. I hope the expression "a man of few words is a wise man" doesn't apply in this case...

I think most people are posting what they would like to happen more than anything... Its the first game and its against the Pats, I understand the optimism...

34-27 Patriots.

Funny thing is this place would be up in arms about how much everybody on our team sucks but that actually wouldn't be that bad. The AFC looks like it will be Denver, NE and everybody else. Being able to hang with one of them is a good sign because the other "playoff teams" from last year are no closer than us.

Defense in Bradys Face all day!....he throws 2 ints, one returned for a td!....Fins pull it out late...23-17....that's all folks!

Definitely looks that way. I wonder who the surprise teams (besides the Dolphins of course) will be this year...there's always a few, in both directions.

I think we will learn a lot about Brandon Gibson, Jarvis Landry, Risard Matthews, our backs out of the backfield and maybe Clay (although Belly took him away last year). Don't think Belly will let Hartline or Wallace beat him, other guys need to step up.

Why can't they put up over 30? Our play calling was TERRIBLE last year. We could have easily done it in the 1st Pats game but Sherman loved doing the opposite of what worked in the 1st half. And as far as Revis, let him become occupied with Wallace. Leaves the door wide open for Hartline, Gibson, Landry, etc. I refuse to let Revis intimidate me.

If you can't have a shred of hope at this point in the season then whats the point? I honestly do think we have a decent shot to win that game. The Pats are probably favorites but in my opinion their odds of winning is closer to 5.5 times out of 10 rather than 9.5 times out of 10.

Play calling was not the reason we couldn't score 30 points a game last yr it had more to do with our QB running for his life.....no need to fear or be intimated by Revis but respect what he brings to the game...If we have to win games in a shoot out we will not win many games this yr.

The scheme of Sherman's offense required players to achieve separation or rushing yards with very little help from the scheme. We need the best talent in the league to succeed. Lazor offense attempts to scheme players to separation or yardage. We will be more productive. The production of the interior line will determine the amount of improvement, but I have no doubt there will be improvement.

Miami 28 New England 2
I really don't see New England moving the ball one us with our monster D. They get lucky with a saftey because of a botched snap from Satele.

MIA 27, NE 23

Tannehill leads a 3Q comeback picking on the NE NB and LBs, and Brady cannot respond in the 4Q as his OL wilts in the heat of the MIA pass rush and the Miami sun.

It will be 90 degrees with 72% humidity, so I think Miami has a shot if our D can keep NE under 24 pts. NE will fade in the second half due to the heat and humidity. Miami 23 NE 21

I feel like it will be a decent game, I would like to see us complete ONE deep ball on the first offensive play, and then run the ball effectively the rest of the first half. After halftime I would love to see alot of playaction and misdirection to keep the Pats vaunted D on their heels. My prediction? 21-17 Miami Dolphins 1-0 and a celebratory round of beers!
