Finally making it to Florida!

Finzmanic, I too will be going to my first game in Florida for the Falcons game also. Flying down with my son. An all boys weekend away from the wife and daughter. Can anybody tell me what airport is the best to fly into, Miami or Ft Lau. I'm trying to take my kid to the Keys to Dolphin Plus to actually go in the water with the dolphins. Should be awesome.

That's awesome that you and your son are getting away and going to Florida for the game and some other fun. My fiancee and I are going down to visit her grandfather and to take in the area as much as we can while we are going to be there. He made arrangements today for the Falcon's game for us...all we have to do is pay for the plane tickets. :D

He lives in West Palm...so that's where we are flying into. So unfortunately I can't suggest where to fly into...but I find it very cool that you and your son are getting away for such a trip.

Good for you man - enjoy it. Hopefully you'll make out better than I did last season during my long-time-coming first trip to Dolphins Mecca. After toiling for years watching our team in places like Buffalo, New York, New England, Cleveland and Cinncinati, I'm rewarded with watching Jay Fiedler lateral the ball to the tackle to end the Jet game in week four, dropping us to 0-4.

Oh well, at least the weather - and scenery, of course - were nice.

That stinks with the way it all panned it out for you! At least you made it down to see them! I've been wanting to do this for years...and just now found a way to squeeze it in between July vacation and the holidays!

I think Lauderdale is better. Hotels aren't as expensive, close to the stadium. Do you have reservations for the Dolphin experiance? If not you will need them.

Ok cool I'll PM and then once it gets closer we'll talk again so I can get all the details. Unfortunately I don't know where we're sitting yet...I didn't purchase the tickets!

I've got tickets to the Bucs game here in Tampa and tickets to the following week's game against K.C. where they'll be presenting Danny with his HOF Ring at halftime.

I have been to Miami twice in my life, but all I got to see was the Airport, and I spotted the Orange Bowl from my window seat as the plane was coming down. :) I got to see the Fins twice in Denver....we beat the Donkeys on a last second Olindo Mare kick about 2-3 years ago and then I froze my a$$ off last December seeing the Donkeys beat us. I am gonna go see a Dolphins game at Dolphin stadium before I die.....just like you have to make that one trip to Mecca if you are a Muslim. :hail: What is the cheapest hotel you can stay at where you won't lose your life???

that was a great game.
i think that was the game where the broncos kick a long FG and then we kicked even a longer FG.

Yup that was the one...:D

I was so happy...Denver's kicker...I believe it was Jason Elam? nailed a 50+ yarder with about a minute left and everyone at Invesco at Mile High was all excited...then we came flying down the field and Mare nails a 50+ yarder...I think we won 22-21??? :)

Miami 24 - Denver 22

Elam hit a 55 yarder

Mare hit a 53 yarder going the other way

You'll love it man. JRS has an amazing "home town" feel to it in light of how huge it actually is.
