Finnegan made a huge error.

We all wanted to laugh (and Im sure we all did) at Vontae wanting to call his grandmother on the Hard Knock's episode but after some growing pains in the Colts defense he has turned himself into a very respectable CB. Though at the same time, it's hard to dismiss him showing up out of shape and the rumors of alcohol on his breath at training camp. That certainly raised some red flags on his situation here.

Some coaches get rid of problems. Better coaches fix them.

I'm not as mad at Finnegan as I am with Jimmy Wilson throughout the whole game. Dude looked completely lost on the field and most of the mistakes on the field with defense had him roaming near it looking clueless.

I'm not as mad at Jimmy Wilson as I am the coaches who keep him out there over more talented players like Davis.

I agree but I coming into the Texans game opposing QB's were completing 40% of their passes and had a 12.3 rating when throwing at Vontae. The talent was undeniable, you could see he has a lot more talent then any of our current CB's even with his occasional blunder mixed in. When he was motivated and focused he was awesome even when he was here. Good in run support and coverage, even blew up one of those stupid Welker bubble screens the Pats used to run that looked like an automatic 12 yards every time. You may say big deal but in all of the Pats games I watched it was one of the only times anyone blew up that stupid play.

Trading Vontae Davis for a 2nd round pick was laughable and that's not even half as funny as Richard Marshall beating him out.
