The #Dolphins have emerged as the front-runner for #Chiefs FA WR Albert Wilson, sources say, with a hotter than expected market. It’s still fluid, one source cautioned. He’s coming off a career high in catches (42) and yards (554) and would beef up the receiving group.

Hmmm. Don't know much about him.

He's 5'9? I don't know how I feel about that, but he's 25 years old and he's pretty damn fast.

Literally never heard of the guy. Just looked him up. 5'9 from Port St. Lucie... We already have a short guy... I thought the point was to add size? He's supposed to be the Landry replacement?

I don't believe Tannenbaum and Grier look at their own roster before picking up the phone and dialing.

Essentially he’d be landry’s Replacement. He’s pretty firery from what I’ve seen. Was pretty much their chain mover.

WTF do we need two Grants? We already have Stills who has more size and is almost as fast as Grant. I understand having to defend 3 speedsters would be tough, but its also tough on the QB having to consistently hit a bunch of small targets...

If they go this route they better make TE a priority because if not its the undependable Devante Parker as the only red zone threat.

I could Be a little off on that comp. I just thought I recall him being that type of player. He had some obnoxious first down thing he does that the cameras and the crowd loved flapping his arms like a bird or some crap

A fiery guy and Gase doesn't like fiery guys interesting. I guess it'll be a one-year rental until he gets aggravated with his antics and will release him for nothing.

Looks like a shorter stock your Landry clone, thanks for the videos guys

Never heard of him need to know more. But a wr is top of the FA list? Parker, Stills caroo, Grant, Ford among others for camp.

I was okay w not paying Landry and I’m ok shedding cap w suh, if we are gonna really shed the roster of over priced contracts pouncey,James, kiko, Thomas, branch should be up for discussion as well.

But if the plan is to again piece meal a roster together it’s pointless. Do it or don’t, this halfway stuff is a waste of time.

We will know more soon I guess, just wish I knew the plan. Are we all in for a qb move in draft or are we making a play to trade James or extend him cause 9mil too much for my man. It’s like Albert taught him how to be hurt lol.

**** I’m rambling, so what’s the deal w this FA WR from KC

He’s solid but a lot of scheme driven production in kc

    #3 wr type

Needs to be paid accordingly and that my friends is where tbaum usually fails

Add him and I think they play it status quo the rest of the way at wr

I just want to know are we picking up dvps 5th year to control his rights

Keep on mind he wouldn't be here to catch 100 passes. He'd just be a part of the offense. He's fast and goes all out

Where did you get the idea that Gase doesn't like fiery guys? He doesn't like guys who don't follow the playcall. It's Philbin that had problems with players that showed any personality.

Can leonte carro or Jakeem Grant replace Landry? I'm actually more in favor for Grant but I guess this guy wouldn't cost much and gives us a plan B

Lmao precisely. Everyone's geared up for free agency and the first news is we're the lead runner for an under the radar 5'9 receiver

    Meh

Like hoops said, WR3 type guy who has the ability to make plays if schemed open, which Gase has proven he can.

You make this add and it does look like we are gonna piece it at wr

Got to get the difference maker at tight end though

I’m seeing a lot of names that miamis attached to in free agency. The potential for bad contracts is rampant

Gase likes fiery. He just wants football to be number 1 priority.

And this guy is a strict slot. Looking up how he was used he was a lot like how Juice was used. Also known as a smart WR

This thread should be re-titled: “I’ve never heard of him, so therefore he sucks.” Way too many fanboys on this site don’t know a thing about pro football outside of their Dolphins bubble.

You’d be looking at a top 5 wr group of dvp stills Wilson grant caroo

Be a lot of scheme driven production at wr

Ideally Wilson be paid like a 4 but I doubt he’d leave kc for that

It’s one of those easily expendable kc things that keeps miami from having to burn something of value in the draft on a wr

Can’t do it all in the draft

    1. Jakeem Grant is not a slot receiver, Wilson is. So get that "oh we already have one short receiver!" out of your head
    2. Wilson broke only 2 fewer tackles than Landry did last season, on about 1/3 of the catches he did
    3. Wilson is a solid, young slot receiver

    From our own Travis Wingfield...

    - Position flexible and excellent blocker - Ran a 4.35 - 8.93 yards per target last year (Landry was a smidge above 6) - 24th highest graded WR on @PFF

Put it this way, if you are expecting some world beater. Probably not going to get that. If you are expecting solid slot production. That's likely

I don't know, it seems like anytime we have a fiery passion a guy he's gone with the change of the Wind. Who on our team now is fiery honest question? I guess you can say Kiko and maybe X but they're not fiery to the extent of Landry or J. But as some inch and if we can get similar or even site or reduce production out of the slot, guy you cost 60 70% less than Landry it's a homerun

I mean if you are expecting him to replicate Juice's numbers you'll be disappointed, but I don't think you will see us trying to force the ball to anybody. We're going to run similar plays for him, and he adds a bit more speed in the slot. But the bigger thing is he is known as smart player
