Fins need a Zach Thomas type of MLB .

Funny you should mention that. I was not here nor do I think this website existed when Thomas was drafted, but if we were all here I guarantee you there would have been lots of people trashing the pick saying that he wasn't undersized linebacker from a school that was not notorious for football.

We only now have high praise for him based off the career he had.

I don't know. Considering the round he was drafted in, I don't think there would have been much talk about Zach either way. At first...

If the oline doesn't get fixed, your dreams of grandeur will be another disappointment in your life.

A mlb is the least of MIA worries. Wheeler is trash, but that was not the premise of this discussion.

This makes no sense whatsoever. Please explain. Start with my supposed "dreams of grandeur". Then move onto the "disappointments in my life", of which there are few I assure you.

Then feel free to move on to what the premise of this discussion was. I understood it to be about Zach Thomas. I'm not sure you're familiar with him but he was a MLB for the Miami Dolphins. The team this site is dedicated to. If you were referring to my bringing up of Wheeler (a LB for this very team) then please explain how you bringing up JT (a DE) is relevant in some way. I'm pretty sure the premise wasn't about the Oline, another point you've injected.

Please, do enlighten me.

Actually, we need the opposite of Zach Thomas. Someone that can stuff the run and blockshed like a champ.

Wisconsin's Chris Borland in Round Two!!!!! If Brent Musburger gets a stiffy over him....so should you. The guy can flat out tackle.

This team has no need,at mlb. Simple enough? I do know who Zt is, he was the leader of a great regular season defense, which always came up short in January. I also pointed out this
Miami defense doesn't have the DTs to allow a smallish MLB to make plays.

Here's a tip this team goes no where in January with no offensive line. MLB in round 1 is a luxury pick.

Yeah that would be great. But its harder to get guys like that. ZT was a bad mofo.
I miss watching him fly around crushing the enemy.

That's kinda my point.

Yes.....We won how many SuperBowls with him?

Strange comment

Zack Thomas was great because he had incredible spirit and he spent his life in the film room. He was the perfect middle linebacker for the defensive tackles that we had at the time. Great player. I wish we had a team full of players with his football smarts and work ethic.

His name is Skov.

Heart and soul of our defense for the next 12 years.

Along with about 30 other teams...

I opened this thread with the lone intention of making this exact comment. Not like Zach Thomas types come out every year and we're the only team dumb enough to not take him.

Zach Thomas = leadership and work ethic. Zach Thomas is an example of how to be a football player.
