With his shot at the #1 pick in the draft he was part of the group that decided Henne was just as good as Flacco or Matty Ice. This year, he trades a #1 and #2 to move up to the third pick in the draft just to take a player at a position of team strength who couldn't even get on the field.

Yes, draft position means nothing. He screws up his picks in every round.
 
Id rather end the season the way we did if peoples jobs were on the line.

The longer Ross is indecisive, the more i suspect im going to get the worst case scenario.
 
Personally I would have rather we gone out the way we did. My flat screen wouldn't have survived if we just suffered the same fate as the Chiefs.
 
I think I would rather be a phins fan. To lose a game being up 38-10, I would cry for weeks on end. At least being defeated 20-7 to lower competition, it does not give me any false hopes. Chiefs fans have to be devasted beyond belief.

Dolphins went 4-3 to end the season,the Chiefs went 2-5 and now 2-6 with todays loss.Not a good sign.
 
11-5 and I guarantee you we're stuck with Jeff Ireland. 8-8 with two brutal back to back losses to end the season, and maybe we're not. Wishful thinking, I know, but maybe the six year reign of terror will end.

I guess I'm in the minority in that I'm not even upset about the way the Dolphins season ended. I didn't think we were a playoff team going into the year. But I will be very disappointed if our owner proves to be the clueless schmuck I now think he might be.

So, to put it bluntly, I won't know until after the team's made an announcement about the coaching staff and front office.

I disagree that the Chiefs have a tremendous upside for next season. Big favorite to bounce. This was likely their high water mark.

Those were two very flawed teams today, ones that were fortunate to draw each other. Both teams had a regular season YPPA Differential of -.6, which is horrendous for a playoff team.

Conversely, the NFC game had two legit teams, New Orleans with a YPPA Differential of +1.6 and Philadelphia at +1.1. My playoff betting system, as I've mentioned numerous times over the years, is to take any team with a gap of at least .5 over its opponent. I was glad that the Saints barely qualified. I'll take Sean Payton and Drew Brees plus points against a rookie head coach and young quarterback. If not for a couple of sloppy mistakes by Brees in the first half I don't think that game would have come down to the wire.

In the playoffs the base variables are more important than nonsense about inability to win on the road, or similar garbage. It becomes, "How good are you?"

OP is missing the point. They got into the playoffs and had a chance to go deep in them. That's all you can really ask for.

Not even close, much rather be in the Chiefs situation, getting to the playoffs is a goal for team that hasn't been there in awhile, during the offseason they have something to build off of....they can look back at their season and be proud of many aspects of the team....we have to go through the summer with this bitter taste in our mouth wondering how can you only score 7 points in two games to end the season when all you needed to make the playoffs was one win....bullygate, dissension among the personnel dept and coaching staff, finger pointing from the players all while the owner is chilling in the Bahamas....
 
Yes.. I'd rather have had a dominant regular season and made the playoffs... Is this a trick question?

That was a damn good game. I'd have been happy to compete like that. If any KC fan really thought they were going to win the whole damn thing with Reid and Smith leading their team than they were kidding themselves.
