Fins playing hardball in Grimes talks?/UPDATE: False rumor, tweet misinterpreted

I wonder if she makes Brett bend over and take it when there having quality family time......
 
So how does this become a rumor anyway? Just because someone is making assumptions from Miko's twitter feed now it's assumed we're playing hardball with Grimes? How do we know Miko is not blowing up because Ireland said they would negotiate at the end of the season instead of now? Stupid thread.

could you imagine working your ass off your whole life to become an NFL star.. battling through injuries, etc... only to let your woman be so vocal about your employer and seemingly call the shots in your career?

Thats like studying your butt off & taking out student loans to get a good degree. then once you finally get your dream job, let your wife bash your company on the internet and call up your boss demanding you get a raise..

I thought it was interesting that she was going nuts about the Dolphins... sorry it doesn't match up to the "Sturgis cost us the season" thread
 
First thing I thought of was that this injury in the pats game worried her. Seeing him out like that, likely made her want to get a long term soon in case he gets a major injury. He is older, plays out of his mind and has a full season of beating on him.
So she would want to lock in now.

Who cares how much money the man gets paid? It's not yours. He earned it...he'll be compensated accordingly.

Grims camp needs to muzzle this woman before she destroys this contract talks.

Fins RARELY ever make a big move prior to the off season in terms of contracts etc.
 
She's hood, so to know any better is not likely.

You are correct!!!! Miami will pay Grimes every penny he deserves and by all means he deserves it.
And yes IT IS MY MONEY - I spent the money going to South beach and watching 2 games a year!!!!!!!!!
Pennies never the less but I pitched in in some fashion.
 
Thats our GM. Lets show him we might be interested in retaining his services. How's one year league min sound Brent?
 
Don't turn on her. She is funny as hell.

While I may not want my wife being front and center, I think Brent knew what he was getting into with her. She was funny, vocal, and public before they met and married. Seems to me her irreverence must have been a draw for him, and to say "shut it up" is silly.

I find her refreshing and I doubt she has any impact on the Dolphin's side of negotiations and valuation. The only impact would be on Brent's decision making come contract time.

But, guess what? That happens with every wife, even if you don't get to see her thoughts on twitter. Saban's wife wasn't on twitter, but by all accounts one of the major reasons he left was because of her. I'm sure wives affect every free agent decision.
 
She is just doing her job of trying to raise his price. Ireland and Apote are doing their job of trying to lower it. They will agree on something before FA starts.
