First line of espn story.....

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Nick Saban must be wondering why he left LSU for this.

what do you think?

THIS is a big deal to you?? Please. The Dolphins obviously have bigger issues, and you, I suspect, have too much time on your hands.

I Guess ESPN shrugs off whenever Miami looks fairly well, Chicago, Jacsonville game, but then, once they play bad, it's as if they're waiting for the moment to bash the team. Oh well, I won't be too surprised when ESPN starts sucking up to the team two years down the road.

you guys do know that if we ever get to 500. they will still rip us. hell i will take it one step futher if the miami dolphins were to win a super bowl espn will rip us for only wining one super bowl and not three like the pats.:fire:

Just like last year, our defense is solid, but our offense.... WTF? We have so much talent minus 2 parts, Oline and QB.

Begging your pardon, but he turned down offers the year before because he was hoping for this job. This is the NFL, not the NBA. You don't see Phil Jackson types walking into a playoff situation, then taking all the credit. (on second thought, didn't Jon Gruden do that?)
Normally you get a HC job after the previous HC is fired/resigns because of poor performance.
Any job he would have taken would have been for a team with a losing record.
I'm not talking about how bad the team was that he took over.

My post: It is a FACT that he told Huizenga no, and then Huizenga, Marti and his dog flew to Baton Rouge and begged Saban.. and offered him a chunk more money a year.

Granted we held onto the ball in the first to games. But does anyone believe this could be a result of our no hard hits in practice philosphy? Just wondering! Anyone know how adopted this practice now is in the NFL!

LOL so true! It could be worse we could be Buffalo!!!

The Dolphins have the most sensitive fans in the league. The media should praise the team for not turning the ball over 8 times, rather than ripping them for turning the ball over 7 times.

F them but its going to continue until we gain some respect.

right you are, we wont get any respect expecially when were not winning in the pre-season, but thats not worrying me too much because, were not having any gameplan and we made many mistakes such as fumbles that will be corrected by the time the season starts

If I was the Pittsburgh press, I would be worried about the fact that their team had what...8 takeaways and only scored 10 offensive points. and none of those 10 were 1st team

I'm wondering of the delay of game time kind of hurt the teams edge and hurt our style of play? I wish ESPN would relax though, i mean every year their analysts say something stupid like Washington and Seattle will win the super bowl and every year they eat crow. They dont have the credibility to make any comments.

Why would a man who knew his 1st year was going to be a tough one already after "3" pre season game's be second guessing himself???

My god if you havent noticed this team has done very little in terms of preperation for the opponet which most teams due heading into there 3rd preseason game.

Saban as much hinted during last weeks practice that the team was having trouble focusing and getting their minds right with football, so a bad performance fom the team was not all together unexpected.

Looking at the actual on field play the defense has play well, offense looks like they should considering they are trying to find a QB and secure a starting o-line.
