First OC Interview is Today

I remember him from Las Vegas many years ago. He was a nutcase street scammer who claimed he worked at Area 51 and saw UFOs. George Knapp of Las Vegas Channel 8 used to feature him all the time.

At least he has a new hobby.

LOL to Awsi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Been in Vegas for 22yrs. Very nice obscure reference.

I HAVE SAID IT loud clear since the jump that TOM GAMBLE is my absolute top fav for our GM gig.

and having BILL LAZOR come in with some of that hi power eagles philosophy, that would be CAKE!!!

and yes, it does make sense. gamble may have told ross that THIS is the guy i want in at oc. bring him in and see how he and philbin click and how much of each others philosophies can mesh and go from there.

WE ALREADY KNOW that ross would like to keep philbin if he can. i do not however believe that philbin is set in stone and he CAN lose his job. it appears [thank God] that ross has finally wised up about the importance of a QUALITY gm and i dont think he will lose his top choice [whoever that may be] over philbin.

and this is why this all makes sense. that is, if gamble is actually in play.

its seems like it is almost a forgone conclusion in some circles and reports that gamble is supposed to be the JETS new gm. so, if thats the case, then all is void. but if NOT, and gamble IS his first choice as reported, then he better get him in his office PRONTO and let him write his deal as to not let him leave the complex without being the dolphins gm. GAMBLE has come up in the biz and learned from the VERY BEST personel men in the nfl. knows cap strategy. has played the game. has gm experience [making the 49ers what they are today] and helping the eagles get restarted aduring the reid transition [thats looking awsome!!]. even has done a little bit of coaching!! when guys like BILL POLIAN and GIL BRANDT say this is the next big thing in nfl gm's and also say what an exellent judge of talent he is, THAT CARRIES SERIOUS WEIGHT!!!

he is respected everywhere from nfl brass, coaches, players, personel men and scouts [gamble also ran scouting in the nfl AND college teams] all giving him mass props. and, he is no 1st timer, a guy who got the gig because he is a friend of........... or related to............ etc..... .

in a nut shell, GAMBLE is a guy who coaches are going to want to work for/with. THATS GOOD for our future and credibility!!

to me, ganmble getting away would be on par with losing out on harbaugh. [gamble being the one who provided harbaugh with all those nice players he has at his disposal].

COME ON ROSS!! KEEP THE LOVE FLOWING!!

Thank you very much. I specialize in obscurity. Edith Keeler must die and Bob Lazar for offensive coordinator.

The name was so close I had to give it a shot.

A friend of mine actually knew Lazar during his hustling days in Las Vegas. When he started appearing on TV my friend went nuts and said he couldn't believe Lazar actually took it to a new level.

If the Godfather of Football has given his endorsement, I am all in. That is posted with respect, not sarcasm.

For what it's worth, some guy who claimed to play for Lazor at the University of Buffalo (!) just called in to Freeman and Fox on QAM and said Lazor is awesome and that Miami should go get him.

He also said that Lazor was basically running the show there and that's why the HC got rid of him. So after the rumors about Sherman running the team, maybe he's the perfect fit. :idk:

The more I read the more I really like this guy. He will transform our offense and will help tremendously with Ryan Tannehill's development. The way forward in today's NFL is to be agressive and exploit mismatches. That Nick Foles flourished under this guy speaks volumes.

"Lazor was in Miami Wednesday interviewing with the Dolphins, Schefter reports. Lazor did wonders with Eagles quarterback Nick Foles, who started the season as a backup and led Philadelphia to the playoffs and an NFC East title. Miami needs someone to work closely with starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who is entering an important third season. Therefore, the interest makes sense. "

Ek reference even deeper. Vegas will always be about the hustlers, even me lol. We'll have to save that for another thread. You must be an old school Fins Fan.

I think it's an interesting guy to look at. I don't know nearly enough about him to really have an opinion yet. I do know that you guys aren't giving Foles nearly enough credit. He was terrific at AZ, prototype pocket passer that moved pretty good, great feet and solid throwing motion. Basically if he had gone to USC or an SEC school that got on TV he'd have moved up in notariety. IMHO as good a pro prospect as anyone after Luck in that draft.

Yup, very talented college QB.

My first question would be.......Can he bring Mccoy and Jackson with him? LOL!
