Fish Castoff D-Line vs the "Browncos"

Personally I think the only true player that we lost along the line is Hayward. He was the only starter last year that didn't loose time to injury. As for the other starters from last year. Ellis cut, Coleman 2nd team, Johnson/Fatafehi not resigned/cut. Ellis missed most of the season w/injury. Coleman would have been a rotation type player, but Pryce's back made him the starter. We also saw a lot of Raylee Johnson. Yes both Johnson and Coleman are geezers as well! So basically we lost Hayward. Not sure if you guys have paid any attention to the Jagwads but so far this preseason Hayward has exactly 2 plays in the record book... both penalites (offsides I believe!). He hasn't missed any of the preseason games either. Don't get me wrong, he's a decent player but he isn't worth 10 mil in bonuses! In fact, most Broncos fans will tell you that they'd prefer to still have Bert Berry and not Hayward. Our D-line last year was the weakest link. He and one of our LB's and one of our Safeties. All three have been addressed. The D-line will be improved just by having Pryce back. If the preseason is any indication the Browncos will do well.

yeah the colts suck bigtime then....

indepth football related when he thinks denver beats miami on opening day ON THE ROAD by 24 in the heat....

I actually agree with a lot of what he wrote. For Denver to win in Miami by 24 though... I've said it several times in the past couple days. You give me a 10-9 win in Miami and I'm a happy camper. We STRUGGLE in Miami! In all honesty though I think Denver wins this one. It will be close though. Too much against the Phins right now. Mainly the fact that Shanny is one of the best in the business at developing game plans. That and Nick Saban has ALWAYS ran the exact same defense. There is actually quite a bit of tape for Shanny to study...albeit the players won't be as good or as fast, but the schemes will remain the same.

Who will be covering Ashley Lelie btw?

Oh and my prediction. Good weather 17-13 Denver. Poor weather... 21-20 Denver. It won't be a blow out no matter how you slice it.

One more question, what's everybodies feelings on Ricky Williams now? I'm a UT fan and he was one of my favs!

That LB would be Donnie Spragan...now a Fish starter at strongside LB.

If you're pointing to the playoff game from the past two seasons I doubt you'll find any Bronco fan that won't freely admit that we were out manned, out classed, out coached, and outwhateverelseyoucanthinkof!!! That's why we've made changes to address our shortfalls. Besides that 13, I've not come in here and trolled at all. I've been talking football and from what I understand there are some knowledgeable fans here. I take it you aren't one of them since you haven't "talked" football yet.

Actually, he is a reserve. Channig Crowder beat him out. Although, Spragan has been great all preseason. Channing has just been on fire. :fire:

I hate it when teams don't update their websites...LOL

That LB would be Donnie Spragan... pay attention though, if he's starting now it won't take long for the Rook (Crowda) to take his place... I think he probably already has! But yes, he was a weak link in our defense. I like the guy b/c he was a heck of a back up and brought excellent depth, but offenses target him like they will the Phins Corners this year.

Yea...Donnie handled the job better than I expected. Why is he listed on the strong side though? They have Junior listed as the weakside guy...

That would probably take its own thread :D I believe the consensus at this point (after TC and preseason) is welcome back Ricky!!!!! he has been a model veteran since his return and looking stronger every week.

What position did Donnie play in Denver last year... BTW, I know the answer, your knowledge is on the line!!!

That's good. I've always liked the guy, but he's been WEIRD ever since his UT days.

Any idea who is going to cover Ashley Lelie?

Also, how has the Phins O-Line looked. I've only seen a couple preseason games for them... they looked kind of shaky and had A LOT of penalties.

I doubt we old school it and have one guy cover Lelie its not Sabans style we will be a completely different defense Scheme-wise....The OL has been making a LOT of mental errors and its a hotpoint with all involved Im hoping they get it curbed a little but before sunday..The main Difference in our O-line (positive) from last year is they arent getting blown into the backfield every play they seem to hold the point and even get decent push more often than not but like any young (time together) line its a work in progress.

Hmm, sounds like you guys have a few question marks... lots of optimism for that many question marks!

Better update my prediction!!! Denver 24 Miami 17.
