Fisher's decision shouldn't be a surprise to anyone

It's funny how people can say that Fisher sucks.. But a guy like Zimmer with no head coaching experience.. is going to be a savior,

Absolute non sense.

I would never hire someone for my business that doesn't have experience.

It was also funny for guys to be more on board with coaches who have never been head coaches vs Fisher who had a record above .500

I might be a little disappointed, but not overly so. Miami might be in a better position to go with a new person getting the reigns first. Toub is growing on me as is Chud.

The Pats are good, but they are not dynasty good.

Pats not a dynasty? They have dominated the league for the last ten years.

since 2000 they have won 3 super bowls, won the AFC 4 times, won the afc east 9 times.

and they are in the play offs yet again....

I am no pats fan, but everyone wants the kind of success the pats have enjoyed.

POST OF THE DAY!!! Not sure how people dont see this - A heavy Lack of rationalization skills perhaps.

From the start it was clear as day that Fisher did not want to be in Miami. It is laughable that people blind themselves to this fact.

I don't get the outrage about his decision. It was CLEAR as day that he wanted the Rams. Ross did everything possible, offered his authority, VP position, Ross WILL NOT GET OUTBID. But it's not always about the money, it's about comfort. And Fisher wanted the Rams because of the easy division one, and he probably was waiting to see if the Rams can match the Dolphins package. But it was always going to be the Rams.

So now you guys can stop talking about how Ross won't get outbid, because it has never and will ever come about money. If it is about money then we made the wrong choice (Saban, Jimmy Johnson).

If it was about money we would have our young Don Shula in Harbaugh right now.

I think we just dodged a bullet. I think Fisher is overrated, and I hope Zimmer gets a second interview. I think Zimmer is the guy this franchise needs.

So everyone relax, and try to keep dolphinbryan from killing himself.

Thank god Fisher decided on the Rams..

oh no not the record thing. don't worry, just like sparano's .500 record was broken Fisher is not that far off after a few beatings from the 49ers.

I hate the Pats as much as anyone but even I have to admit that although they don't have a dynasty in terms of what we knew in the 70's and 80's since players couldn't move around as much and made better fan connections that way, they are as close as your going to get in the FA era. So I'd say that yes, the Pats organization does have a dynasty.

So you hear someone on a radio show floating a possible reason why Fisher might choose the Rams (like he needs another one) and you're now spouting it like it's gospel even though it makes zero sense. I guess you believed plenty of garbage that was spouted this past week

Well done

No more than people like you who automatically make the assumption that Fisher's decision says a lot about the Miami Dolphins organization. So which is the 'gospel' mister all knowing. Stop whining already. Boo hoo hoo

It didn't hurt the Rams that...

"In addition, chief operating officer Kevin Demoff is the son of Fisher's agent, Marvin Demoff." -- ESPN

And if you think this didn't come into play, I need to speak to you about some beachfront property I'm selling.

No matter how much money you pay for a wheel, you still need grease to help it along.

maybe he just doesnt really want to live in Miami....I'm a hugh Dolphins fan but I don't want to live in Miami myself......maybe he can't stand the heat or knows how bad crime is in Miami......in the end, I'm glad we didn't get him.I want us to hire a guy that's never been a HC in the NFL. I I know that didn't work with TS but I feel like we're about to hit on our next HC.....is been a long time coming and we're due.Something good is about to happen with our team and not getting this overated guy is just the beggining.

Ozzy rules!!

Im not surprised. Im used to this team losing out on whatever. Im certain we will lose the coin flip for draft position with the Panthers.

You may want to revise that to Ross losing out on things like this. We use to win these kind of sweepstakes all the time. Saban and the Tuna prove this. IMO those past sweepstakes were fools gold. I'm glad Ross stuck to his guns and wouldn't give full control to Fisher. That kind nonsense hasn't worked out for us in a long long time. It's a GM driven league, and if they like Ireland, then they are doing the right thing.

I think you can make a strong argument Ireland has made very solid choices since the Tuna left. The biggest one to me was not giving up the franchise for a very AVG QB in Orton. Getting Bush, Pouncey and Matt Moore is gravy.

I doubt that's the case. If crime had anything to do with the decision then he's not very bright:
