Five pieces...

you forgot about gibson on offense once he gets healthy...Also I was happy that they used miller out of the backfield the other day...it would be much better to use him like that than to keep handing him the ball and watching him go backwards...

I think we have more than what your stating. Not every player is going to be probowl caliber. We need our coordinators to be putting these guys in better situations to win their one on one battles through out the game. Good teams do this and we aren't. Why was Wheeler so effective last year? Ellerbe? Because they were put in position to use their strengths. This coaching staff also doesn't like playing rookies at all. Jordan has looked great in limited roles but we keep him on the bench more than we should. Also Davis and taylor are just sitting and watching which would make sense if we had two very good vets all year in front of them. Dallas Thomas at tackle is some dumb dream of this coaching staff and should be playing LG and should have been from day 1. We need new coordiantors.

I disagree, I think we have talent on this team but its not being utilized correctly....I like our rookie TE and think with a good off season he can be a starter in this league, the only weak area on the offensive is the OL...if we fix that the O can jell and be formidable in this league, bring some competition in at RB and call it a day, I like our WR as long as they are used correctly with Gibson coming back we will be deep at WR.

D is the problem, we can lose two D linemen and be ok, we are deep there, our problem is at LB unfortunately we are stuck with Wheeler and Elerby hopefully they will get better with a new system, I believe both came from a 3-4 D and we have no depth at the position...bring in guys to compete and I think Jordan would be better in the 3-4....so I would resign Soliai and let Starks walk and bring in a 3-4 D coordinator keep our secondary together and hopefully the rooks can compete next yr.

I would fire Ireland and Philbin, bring in Pioli as GM and Whisenhunt as coach, have a good draft to help our lack of depth problem and we will be fine, I dont think we are as bad off as some of you think, good coaching, leadership and player development is what we lack....

On offense, I would also keep Gibson, Mathews, Miller and sign Keller again. I'm on the fence with Jerry, can't hurt to keep him I guess. That leaves LT and a couple guards.
On defense, I would keep everyone but Wheeler and Clemons. Patterson is too unreliable, not sure what to do with him. Taylor should be ready to go next year so I would maybe just sign veteran depth at CB

Who you keep depends on who you can get. I would not currently think to replace Wallace.

Grimes has to stay. Except for a few miscues, he's been a bright spot on the D all year.

The fact that we basically replaced Jake Long with Tyson Clabo and pretended everything was gonna be ok is pretty funny. We need to stop having negative plays in the running game. Kills tons of drives. I'd literally go ape**** in this draft and draft 2-3 OL and probably sign a couple as well. I think Lamar Miller is our best back and capable of at least splitting with another back (one that actually has some power) granted we rebuild the offensive line from square 1. I would not however trade up to draft someone who doesn't really fill a need so that I can play him 20% of snaps all year. Ireland goes, Sherman goes, if that means Philbin then so be it. Has done nothing to impress me and probably has done the opposite. Keeping Grimes is crucial, imagine if he didn't turn out to be a top tier DB. How would the secondary look right now without him? This team has beaten itself/given games away in every loss minus new orleans. Coaching.

I am actually at a dilemna right now with Clabo.

He has played much better since Ol changed. He did the same thing at Atlanta last year after sucking the first half too. Draft his eventual replacement for sure.

Jerry I offer low contract and take it or leave it but drafting your competition either way.
