I VERY highly doubt that last part. I can't imagine ANY NFL GM would consent to that. That would be nuts, IMO.

I totally believe this report, but I'd be shocked if it's on tape.

It's done all the time in all different types of business a standard disclosure for records or training purpose calls may be recorded. Hell at my company you are told as a new hire all calls to the company are considered recorded. Not to mention if his agent called from a different state then that state might not require consent.

Yeah, but in an NFL front office? No way. I mean, look at the fact that these guys won't even share injury information except that the league FORCES them to do it. Think about all of the conversations these guys must have with agents off the record for their benefit with stuff like tampering, etc. Tampering never gets proven.

I straight up don't believe any NFL GM would have any such arrangement with any agent. Could you imagine having that arrangement with a guy like Drew Rosenhaus? It would be tantamount to career suicide. If it's true and this stuff is standard, then wow. But you'd have to actually show me some evidence of that. I'd be floored.

I dunno man, to much speculation we don't know where Ireland was when called or where Rick Smith was. I know this much if Ireland's only hope is a consent law this team is SCREWED!

The only question is what the NFL investigation reveals, how Ireland acted after taking this phone call, and who he told about it.

I believe there is a chance that Joe Philbin survives as Dolphins head coach if the team rallies and plays well and the NFL investigation reveals that he was not a villain here. I think I could get my wish and Dawn Aponte could be thrown out with Jeff, removing the Parcells taint from this organization once and for all.

Well we can assume the source is Rick Smith seeing how he is named. Talk about going out on the limb risking ruining your relationships throughout the league.

The Patriots were caught cheating and this pales in comparison, and what did the NFL do? Remember the scandal with the Patriots, when female reporters walked into the nude locker rooms and the players joked around then? What happened?
