This mess is never going to end. There must be some truth to this, why would stuff like this keep coming out. I thought the media were just out to get the Dolphins but I'm beginning to wonder. Ugh!!!!!!

Per a league source, some players also have trust issues with the Joe Philbin regime.

The concerns date to the aftermath of the 2012 season. After Philbin abruptly released receiver Chad Ochicinco during the Hard Knocks days following an arrest for domestic violence, the Dolphins created a leadership council. The team ultimately appointed tackle Jake Long, running back Reggie Bush, linebacker Karlos Dansby, and receiver Davone Bess.

Sounds like some of the Dolphins players agents are doing what they do best, spinning Florio round and round.

Smacks of players using their agents through the media to cover the players butts for the horrid on the field play the last 2 games of our season.

They are all to blame, and I'm sure some of the coaches don't like or respect all the players they have to coach as well. So what? I'm not sure how any of that is news. No one likes everyone they have to do business with or who you they have to work with. It's called life.

This can be handled on the first day of camp. Philbin can address the team and ask for any players who don't want to be on the team to let him know so that he can either trade them or release them. It's as simple as that. For someone to stick around who really doesn't want to be there is a disservice to the players and coaches who do.

Edit: I should also add that Philbin has said on many occasions that he needs to improve as a coach. For EVERYONE'S sake, hopefully he will.

While you could find players unhappy with the coaching staff on just about every NFL team, there's probably some truth to the rumors about assistant coaches being inexperienced and not offering the tutoring needed to develop players. I was hoping the new OC could fill out his own staff, but I guess that's not happening. I hope he is a hands on coach, especially when it comes to the QB.

With the Martin report coming out and a new GM coming in, plus these "trust issues", I'm not 100% certain Joe Philbin will be Miami's coach in the next month. Don't be surprised.

this is a hatchet job from former dirt bags.

philbin getting rid of those malcontents for raiding his office and basically asking to take over leadership after he bum rushed homey the clown [seen him on any other teams?] is what made me a BIG philbin fan.

that is wht coaches do, jimmy johnson, bill parcells, bill bilichek, etc..... came into their new teams and cleaned house on the malcontents and those they felt were not down with their plan and were going to be locker room problems.

he did EXACTLY what he should have. the thing that really iced the cake for me was the fact they made all that fuss over HOMEY THE CLOWN [aka chad ochostinko]!! a guy who had just been run from two good teams! a guy who was told beforehand he was on a trial basis and no room for a screw up, he goes RIGHT OUT and fuggz up. when watching hard knocks, whenever philbin was explaining things to him and addressing issues, homey ignored him or answered, "yeah, well, datz da way i am, dad jus be me" and would turn and walk away.

and people wonder why he got ran. and all this talk all the time about NO DIVA RECEIVERS, NO KNUCKLE HEADS and we bring in the QUEEN OF ALL DIVAS, he fails, and people are mad at philbin for doing it.

the ONLY ONE of those so called leadership goofs that did anything worth while after leaving was dansby. he didnt do anything here, fans were ALWAYS bashing him and calling him a bust f/a and then he gets run and the fans blow up. jake has health issues and allows sacks all year and then is out for good towards seasons end with the rams. same as when he was here the last few years. and you can only go by what the player do HERE when deciding to keep them or not! dansby didnt play like he did this year in az all the years he was here. brandon marshall. couldnt find the endzone to save his soul. dropped balls. then goes to the pro bowl and gets 4 td scores and over 100 yds and is named pro bowl mvp. he then goes to the bears with cutler and is in the end zone every 4th play.

HE DIDNT DO ANY OF THAT HERE!! FANS COMPLAINED ABOUT HIM CONSTANTLY [as their doing now with wallace]. the dolphins have had qb issues for YEARS now, but, they get no blame. especially tanny. right now he is getting NO bashing after melting down completely the last 2 games. it wasnt ALL his fault but a good 75% was. philbin, who was handed and even WORSE team then then his rooky year, has a qb who just doesnt seem to shine in the gut check, gotta have it now moments. wiffs on the long ball/big plays but, he gets basically no mention. all philbin. or the scapegoat, sherman [who called ALL the plays the last 2 years].

but back to the florio hack job, this is ALL stirring up by ex fin players and probably pushed by disgruntled gm's or their lackys and the former players. this is just the worst yet by the sports writers. florio really ought to be ashamed for this.

i have NEVER been in philbins corner more than i am now. its REDICULOUS the treatment he has been getting.

Florio is bringing up the Ocho Cinco thing again? Really?? If anyone still cares about the cutting of a scrub almost 2 years ago, they need to shipped out, too

There is likely some truth to the concerns about the coaching staff from the players, but at this point Florio is just piling on. Having to bring up Chad Johnson being cut as part of his argument shows that he is just reaching at this point to continue this story and make it bigger than it probably really is.

Winning cures all. That's what it's gonna take. You think if we made the playoffs this nonsense would be coming out?

Meanwhile Philbin has had zero issues filling his coaching staff with good hires. Funny that.

Can't believe people still take Florio seriously. Just another cut and paste with some editorial work to his pieces.

Going back to Nacho Stinko is weak to be mild about it.

I'm glad all those players are gone.

If a player has trust issues over this there probably doing something they shouldnt be doing.

And WTF is with the obsession of Mia by all these NFL media types? Its crazy how much they feel the need to bash and talk about us, and make up rumors. The majority of the NFL is worse off than us right now, yet not pep about them.

Regarding the last part of your post- I'm with ya. I've had it with the 'Dolphins are a mess' narrative. There are worse situations, and yet we never hear anything about any of them it seems. But the media never misses an opportunity to pile on the Fins. It's way beyond annoying at this point.

I bet even Belichick is gonna feel a little heat for cutting Spikes during the playoffs. Like somebody said earlier, if you want trust you need to win. End of story.
