We've talked about what it would say about Flynn, if Philbin and the Phins didn't express interest. If Flynn has a choice between Seattle and the Dolphins, and he chooses the former, what does that say about Joe Philbin? :ponder:

Hopefully we can get this done and surround him with some weapons heading into 2012.

I hope he leaves as a Dolphin. I know there are a lot of people who don't want him, but I am not one of them. Matt Moore was good last year, and could be good again this year, but he is not a franchise qb. Is Flynn, nobody knows, but it would suck if he ends up being the franchise qb for someone else. I don't really think we have anything to lose right now. There is no other franchise qb out there ready to play now, except maybe Weeden, and it does not look like many people want to take a chance at him.

If Coach Philbin believes in him, then sign him and move on to whomever else they wanna look at and maybe sign.

I fear that we are being used as leverage again. He "wants to play here". That is a line that people use to get more money.

this....philbin knows better than anyone if this guy is the real deal or not. this will also tell alot about philbin whether this kid is good or not. if we pick him up and he is a bust, that will tell alot about philbins decision making. if we let him go and he is a stud somewhere else, that will also say alot about philbin.

We will just have to wait and see.

Manning isn't coming to Miami. I honestly thought we might be a prime target, but its just not going to happen (That sucks IMHO)!

That leaves us looking at about 4 guys for starting QB...maybe not at seasons beginning, but for the long haul.
1. Currently on the roster (I will stand behind Matt Moore IF that is who Philbin and Sherman believe in!!
2. Matt Flynn. Philbin knows this kids ability as good as anybody.
3. Tannehill. I think he's a 3rd round pick...nothing more. IF we go after him at 8, Sherman knows
4. The last one is one that some think is too old to be picked by us at 2-9. I personally think he will be, at the least, the 3rd best QB coming out of this class....maybe better than 3rd......

for all the people that dont like Flynn, give the guy a chance. This kid is way better than any option (other than Manning)thats available for us for the next year. I know we have been suffering since #13 retired and I am not saying this is Marino but this guy will give us a good chance to turn our franchise around. Feeley , Kolb were good system Qb's and I think so is Flynn but dont forget that we are going to run a similar if not the same system as green bay.West coast offense does not require a qb that can put up the numbers that drew brees put up.I honestly think that if we dont overpay him we should roll the dice and see what happens.

It was reported that's how he felt. After all of the reports on this site over the last week, I don't know why we'd believe anything.

Nublar even though i am not high on him I would let Manning play out because if Manning ends up in San Fran I see Seattle going after Smith which leverages us with Flynn. If Seattle really thought Flynn was their guy they wouldn't had let him leave they have the cap and the wallet. Cleveland doesn't have interest so I say sweat him out if he walks meh!
