For all the Henne Haters, Doubters, and Boo Birds

You don't know that. How can you know that? Some of you act like Henne didn't have a OC named Dan Henning calling plays for him all year long last year.

I have no idea what is going to happen, neither do you, but the way some of you try and re-write the history of Henne by constantly never mentioning Dan Henning is simply amazing to me.

I knew it last season after the third preseason game. Check my record. This isn't rocket science, man. We aren't trying to cure cancer. Use your eyeballs. Watch the games without your heart so involved and you'll see it too.

Tell me, if I can't see it and I can't know it, then why are so many Dolphin fans so convinced that Mark Sanchez isn't worth a damn? A guy that has been to two AFC title games in his young career. A guy who teammates RAVE about in a leadership role. Why do DOLPHIN fans give Mark Sanchez such a hard time?

Moving away from the Dolphins it took me a year to realize that Randy Shannon was hot garbage as head coach of the Hurricanes. I wasn't a fan of Jacory Harris when we offered him a scholarship. Now look at him. The same things I criticized about Jacory in high school are the same things he now has problems with at the college level.

But I have no way of knowing lol. Guess I'm just a really good guesser. Maybe I'll play the lottery in every state.

what if your wrong is my point. . . what if Denver isnt bluffing and is demanding nothing less than a second and your Booing and creating that Trickle own effect? Well now you have a divided lockeroom and no hope for a good season . . .talk about wasting all these talented players time. . . a whole season down the drain.

Any season when you don't win is a season down the drain. Steelers last year...down the drain. They got some free tshirts and went home.

Locker room is already divided. It hasn't blown up like locker rooms in Dallas or Philadelphia when Owens was there but I don't expect it to get THAT bad. But the players don't have a lot of confidence in Henne.

I'm all for it the very first day of practice.

You're applying pressure to the front office EARLY. You're not waiting.

Front office recognizes the displeasure from the fan base a full month before the season begins. They know the fans are going to be rabid like this from the very first game. They can still make a move before the season begins to take some of the pressure off. They understand that booing the QB in practice will trickle down to everyone else on the team. It's no secret these players don't have a lot of confidence in Henne and there are numerous reports that Henne is not the leader on the field that you need from a QB.

I say Denver folds and we're right back in it for Orton at a fourth round pick.

If a front office was to change their course of action based on a QB being booed, then IMO that is a true sign that front office is not very good, in fact may be very bad.

IMO if they (Dolphins) make a move with the QB position it will have nothing to do with Henne being booed. It will simply be based on the fact the Broncos cannot keep Orton at 9 mil a year after the 4th, they lower their draft compensation expectation, and Orton loweres his contract demands.

Any season that you dont win is down the drain? Its def all about getting the ring no doubt but Tell that to the browns. Bet if they make the playoffs this year it will be the highlight of many fans sporting lives over the last 20 years. I know for me a top 5 dolphin memory was 08. Im sure many players when they look back at the end of their career will be proud to have been on the team that broke the record for biggest single season turn around in NFL history.

Dan MArino never won it all but i hardly would call his career down the drain. Many players are proud of their days in miami while playing alongside dan

People are so grandiose on MBoards, how quickly I forget. Again, no one knows what is going to happen in the future, no one.

I see you glossed over the fact that Dan Henning was the OC last year.

Fans have had enough, man. Time to move forward.

We aren't winning anything with Henne at QB. Look around the league. Stud QB's are doing work in the playoffs and Super Bowls.

Need to rally behind the team; not players.

Get us a legit QB.

Who wants to win football games?
I don't know your resume, but I assume you haven't been coaching in the NFL nor working as General Manager at any pro-team.

So I'll start by saying that franchise QB don't grow in trees and teams are conducted with a master plan based in goals.

It's clear you think Chad Henne has no talent and is an unworthy player. Well everyone inside Dolphins Front Office saw the same poor execution during several games of 2010, but unlike you, they see a diamond in the rough in Henne. They assumed that he deserves a final chance (in his contract year) but this team can't bet everything on the same horse, so Chad Henne must be challenged. But here's the problem, aside of stats, Chad's talent is above several passers in this league, so the quest for a franchise QB to compete with Henne isn't like buying soda at Wallmart.

Unlike 2008, Dolphins got the 15th selection not the first. So they have to wait and saw a rush on most teams to get overvalued QB, so four potential passers were picked. Then our front office saw poor value on selecting a passer in this draft because none of them will be ready this season. Our actual approach is to compete now not in 2013, when Kaepernick and Mallet could be ready.

Then unless you think that you can get any player without following the rules, Carlson Palmer is unavailable. As most experts, Ireland projected that Palmer's situation could be solved by the end of NFL lockout, but Bengals are firm on letting Carlson to retire before trading him.

Or perhaps you assume Vince Young is a franchise passer that might lead us to playoff, let me remember you this guy left the field on a game day and was very close to suicide. VY requires a ton of medical attention in order to recover.

If you figured that McNabb, Hassellbeck or Kolb could be option for us, then you haven't played QB under serious coaching. Those guys were developed under WCO systems. Translation: They don't fit in Daboll's system.

So the list of potential challengers gets reduced to Kyle Orton, Matt Moore & Marc Bulger.

Marc Bulger looked promising after Baltimore press wrote about his great job as backup of Flacco. But he appears to be at the end of his NFL career and it's unlikely he could win over Henne.

Matt Moore is known by Sparano since their days in Dallas, but is more of a project to challenge Henne if things doesn't work by mid-season.

Kyle Orton is the full package. Has great stats, experience, leadership, and he could beat Henne or become the best backup of the league.
Anyway, assuming Henne fails, Orton could help to mentor a new franchise passer.

But both Broncos and Orton wanted too much to trade.
Broncos started asking a 2nd round arguing Orton's their starting QB, while Miami offers a 4th in 2012 plus conditional pick on 2013.
Kyle Orton wants something close to his current paycheck of $9 million/season with multi-year contract. Again Dolphins assumed Henne could beat him, so paying such money for a backup makes no sense and could lead to severe salary cap issues on 2012.

Are you psychic? Nobody really knows what's going to happen. You're only assuming to convince yourself that Henne will fail. Neither of us knows what's going to happen.

Lets not forget there was a time where Peyton manning looked terrible. . . where tom brady was a relative nobody. . . a time when Drew Brees looked like he was a bust. . You need go no further than the best Qbs in the league to look for stories of guys that either surprised a lot of people or turned into a real QB after being deemed a bust. . . having said that. . .Henne im almost certain wont do this. Butttt I will certainly hope he does and nothing in the world could make me happier than to be proven wrong!!!! thats the point

Pardon me, my bad. I forgot that only NFL coaches can spot talent.

Guess we shouldn't watch football at all then.

No, I'm not psychic. But I am DAMN GOOD at spotting stuff like this whether you guys like it or not.

Predicted the Heat would lose in the Finals as well...preseason.

I'm curious, you ever predict anything positive for a Miami based franchise?

Ya...

all of those guys showed something early on. peyton had a rough go with the ints, but that happens when you play from day one and throw the ball as much as they did. brees was playing better when the shoulder injury was the final nail in the sd coffin for him. brady is a football player he made things happen right away. ive been through this before from fiedler to feeley and culpepper and now with henne, for arguements sak what can anyone say they have seen from chad henne that is nfl ready besides his big arm?

If i could thank you a million times i would. this is exactly how it has gone down. How thats hard to understand IDK but it obviously is.

Rallying around the team doesnt include Booing your the best available Quarterback on your team tho. Brandester? Devlin? undrafted Qb who has been in the NFL for one real practice and looked bad as well tonight? Matt Moore? really? not gonna turn out too well with any of these other options.

I understand being done with not having a good QB but this is what we are rolling with. . .we went 7-9 with terrible Running game last season and bad QB play, had a few plays gone different we coulda been 9-7 or even 10-6 . . If we have any improvement on offense this season we should fight for a playoff spot . . . If you can get into the playoffs anything can happen.

Let our feeling be known after the season if Henne Bombs but no sense in doing it now after the lockout and during his first practice. . . . smh if this was a week before we start playing id understand but the offense isnt even installed yet. . . half the offense isnt even practicing. . . lol its crazy if you ask me
I'm on this wagon.

I'm curious, you ever predict anything positive for a Miami based franchise?

Ya...

When a positive prediction is warranted, yes.

Matter of fact, watch the Marlins in the offseason go out and sign a BIG name rather than trading away all of their talent. Willing to bet they ride out Jack McKeon for next season as well. And they'll contend. Not only that, but they also won't have the worst attendance in the league next season.

Place your bets....
