For anyone who says calm down this is one game...........

"It;'s only game 1"

Yeah, Ive been telling myself that for the last 10 years....

Well look at what the Lions fans have had to deal with for more than that and they are far more die hard than we are.
10 years? Really?? That's a bit drastic, more like 4....

Remember the pats have Brady, Two great TEs, Great coach, all preason to prepare for us, and the lockout affected us more than them. Take away the welker play and it is a one possession game. If we get destroyed by the texans then I will listen to the complaints.

covering tightends was supposed to be a strength
the dolphins defense was suuposed to be the best thing about the miami dolphins.
brady not only played good it was one of his best performances ever
most yards for a quarterback in any monday night game are u kidding me..
OVER 517 yards and that little whitehead kid ran like zonka over 6 yards a carry..
It is not that we lost that concerns me it is how we lost
i already felt like some of the team quit and that was game 1..

That Pats were by far the worst draw we could have had for opening night. They had there team and system in place while we are with a new OC and a underconditioned D. All D's at this point would have been gassed in this spot. Hell the Jets were gassed in the 2nd half too and they didn't have to play a in a first half track meet.

I am actually amazed that our O was good at all. Due to the fact it was game 1 against a real scheme. Go ahead and say the Pats D sucks... But going into this game we were all sure that their O-line was an issue and they managed due to an in place scheme and good coaching manage fine. Regardless of what their D is like they are well coached and had every bit of chance to be as succesful as they could be.

We lost by what I am gonna call a close 14, argue that too but I have my points that I won't mention now, to a team that was killing teams at the end of last year and would have been in the Super Bowl mix if they were not beat by a team that matches up REALLY well with them. Houston is gonna be another tough one and if we win that one I think this team is off to a good start.

Yeah the Pats are good, but not nearly as good as we made them look. More than half their yards were given to them by poor adjustments and poor conditioning. Things that will be fixed. It IS only one game! The Steelers have been together just as long if not better and they got beat worse than we did....and on BOTH sides of the ball.
Our D was terrible, but it wasn't lack of talent so just relax. Be realistic, Houston will not have their way with us. That is just a ridiculous statement. Our D will be fine.

why the hell does everybody keep bringing up the steelers as if there is ANY comparison THERE ISNT. the steelers lost ON THE ROAD and the steelers have been the front runner. so what??? BALTIMORE held serve. WE DIDNT. get it??? thats the point. baltimore got it done we didnt. stop comparing us to the steelers the comparison makes zero sense. u want to make the comparision????? make it to the ravens. guess what? they won. we lost.

thats the point. the steelers lose doesnt have nearly the impact on their season that ours did. WHY do u think baltimore came out and blasted them???? they KNEW how important that game was for their season. we treated the game like it was still preseason.

So Henne stinking was because of Ireland and Sparano.

Henne finally looks like a competant QB you you guarantee it had nothing to do with Sparano? Interesting, I mean the guy only changed the Philosophy and went for a OC that fits Henne's skills and strengths. But hey, you're right, nothing to do with Sparano.

Last I checked, the Patriots are the favorites to win the SB and until 9 mins left in the game, Miami was still in it. But hey, the sky is falling of course.

Would you rathen have been the Falcons or Steelers who knew before halftime they lost the game?

So let me ask you.... Will you have the exact opposite reaction if Miami wins against Houston this week? Or will it be "It's just one game" of course if Miami wins they will need to show more then 1 game?

Pittsburgh is expected to compete for their division and afc championship. Miami isn't expected to win more then 6 games.
Pittsburghs game was over before halftime. Miami was still in it in the 4th
Pittsburgh lost to a team expected to contend for a wild-card, Miami lost to the team expected to win the SuperBowl.
Pittsburgh's offense looked horrendous. Miami's looked solid.

You are right, there is no comparison. I would be alot more worried if I was a Steeler fan.

But then again, the only factor that truly counts is Miami was the home team and the Steelers were the visiting right? So the rest doesn't matter? I mean, after all, GB won the SB playing every game in the post season at home..... OOPS!!!! My bad

u would be alot more concerned if u were a steeler fan??? are u kidding me??? so u believe in moral victories huh??? to be clear AGAIN. the steelers lost ON THE ROAD. they have a history of recent success and winning teams. we lost AT HOME. so to spell it out for u when to teams are in the same divison they play one road and one home game. generally when those teams are equally matched the home team is favored and EXPECTED to hold serve at home.

therefore pittsburgh STILL gets to play baltimore AT HOME. which means even with the loss its still kinda status quo in pittsburgh. and u want to look at their schedule??? it basically the softest schedule in the nfl this year.

if u missed it, what all this means is we still play new england IN FOXBORO. we do not have a track record of recent success, and we have one of the toughest schedules in the nfl this year AGAIN.

we lost at home. the two dont even compare, and if u think steelers fans have more to be concerned about than us??? man what are u smokin??

You honestly think the team is no better than the 1-15 version?

WOW, we're back to this again? The goal is not to just be better than the team from 5 seasons ago. You going to use this stupid excuse in 2014 when Miami is still sucking? At least we're better than that 1-15 team from 7 seasons ago. smh.

Totally agree. No one is worried about PIT. They have proven time and time again they can overcome adversity. I was listening to Mike Tomlin talking and he sounds a confident as ever...no panic in his voice. Unlike Sparano, who sounds clueless when talking. I would be shocked if SEA scored at all this week at PIT.

I agree.. Lol to all those saying its only 1 game.. Its only 1 DIVISION HOME GAME. Now we get to go to snow riddled NE in December and try to get the win back. Only 1 meaningless division home game right..

been there done that in pittsburgh. no worries. for me personally i wonder if their defense holds up, i wonder if harrison actually has a good year, and if polomolu remains healthy all year. i dont think the answers to those are both yes. but i do believe early in the year they will play well. its just a matter of how do things look at the end. but if ur the steelers u believe in mike tomlin. u believe they will get it done. somebody will step up. if ur a dolphin do u HONESTLY feel the same way? there is no way. the guy was almost run out of town. the dont believe this guy knows how to win deep down. i tell u he went a long way in restructuring the offense and his new ways were well received, but hes 3 years to late with this ****. he should have known how to win when he got the job, not taken 3 years to figure it out. its too late. his career is over and its his fault. he got it right now, he really does. its too late. what happens when the dolphins struggle again in the red zone cause of the continuing saga of poor calls in those situations? what happens when we start off 1-3? here we go again...thats what happens. the culture is set. sparano set it. its been his voice, and his program hasnt worked, and now he waffled and changed. they desperately needed to get off to a fast start to get this thing turned, and it doesnt look like thats going to happen.

What did you guys expect really? Did you all really think the Dolphins are a 12 to 14 win team? Because that is probably what it would take to win this division. The reality is we are fighting for 1 of 2 WC spots. You can talk about Pitt past history all you want. How about 2008 when they won the SP, and won the first game the next year but ended up missing the playoffs? The past means nothing for this year. Just like the Dolphins, Pitt will either play good enough to compete this year, or they will not. That can not be determined from 1 game. Losing game 1 does not knock you out of the playoffs anymore than winning it puts you in. It is a long season and a lot can happen.

Just like the Giants did in 2007 when they started 0-2 and their head coach was almost fired the year before right?
