"It;'s only game 1"
Yeah, Ive been telling myself that for the last 10 years....
Yeah the Pats are good, but not nearly as good as we made them look. More than half their yards were given to them by poor adjustments and poor conditioning. Things that will be fixed. It IS only one game! The Steelers have been together just as long if not better and they got beat worse than we did....and on BOTH sides of the ball.
Our D was terrible, but it wasn't lack of talent so just relax. Be realistic, Houston will not have their way with us. That is just a ridiculous statement. Our D will be fine.
why the hell does everybody keep bringing up the steelers as if there is ANY comparison THERE ISNT. the steelers lost ON THE ROAD and the steelers have been the front runner. so what??? BALTIMORE held serve. WE DIDNT. get it??? thats the point. baltimore got it done we didnt. stop comparing us to the steelers the comparison makes zero sense. u want to make the comparision????? make it to the ravens. guess what? they won. we lost.
thats the point. the steelers lose doesnt have nearly the impact on their season that ours did. WHY do u think baltimore came out and blasted them???? they KNEW how important that game was for their season. we treated the game like it was still preseason.
Pittsburgh is expected to compete for their division and afc championship. Miami isn't expected to win more then 6 games.
Pittsburghs game was over before halftime. Miami was still in it in the 4th
Pittsburgh lost to a team expected to contend for a wild-card, Miami lost to the team expected to win the SuperBowl.
Pittsburgh's offense looked horrendous. Miami's looked solid.
You are right, there is no comparison. I would be alot more worried if I was a Steeler fan.
But then again, the only factor that truly counts is Miami was the home team and the Steelers were the visiting right? So the rest doesn't matter? I mean, after all, GB won the SB playing every game in the post season at home..... OOPS!!!! My bad
You honestly think the team is no better than the 1-15 version?
u would be alot more concerned if u were a steeler fan??? are u kidding me??? so u believe in moral victories huh??? to be clear AGAIN. the steelers lost ON THE ROAD. they have a history of recent success and winning teams. we lost AT HOME. so to spell it out for u when to teams are in the same divison they play one road and one home game. generally when those teams are equally matched the home team is favored and EXPECTED to hold serve at home.
therefore pittsburgh STILL gets to play baltimore AT HOME. which means even with the loss its still kinda status quo in pittsburgh. and u want to look at their schedule??? it basically the softest schedule in the nfl this year.
if u missed it, what all this means is we still play new england IN FOXBORO. we do not have a track record of recent success, and we have one of the toughest schedules in the nfl this year AGAIN.
we lost at home. the two dont even compare, and if u think steelers fans have more to be concerned about than us??? man what are u smokin??
Totally agree. No one is worried about PIT. They have proven time and time again they can overcome adversity. I was listening to Mike Tomlin talking and he sounds a confident as ever...no panic in his voice. Unlike Sparano, who sounds clueless when talking. I would be shocked if SEA scored at all this week at PIT.
been there done that in pittsburgh. no worries. for me personally i wonder if their defense holds up, i wonder if harrison actually has a good year, and if polomolu remains healthy all year. i dont think the answers to those are both yes. but i do believe early in the year they will play well. its just a matter of how do things look at the end. but if ur the steelers u believe in mike tomlin. u believe they will get it done. somebody will step up. if ur a dolphin do u HONESTLY feel the same way? there is no way. the guy was almost run out of town. the dont believe this guy knows how to win deep down. i tell u he went a long way in restructuring the offense and his new ways were well received, but hes 3 years to late with this ****. he should have known how to win when he got the job, not taken 3 years to figure it out. its too late. his career is over and its his fault. he got it right now, he really does. its too late. what happens when the dolphins struggle again in the red zone cause of the continuing saga of poor calls in those situations? what happens when we start off 1-3? here we go again...thats what happens. the culture is set. sparano set it. its been his voice, and his program hasnt worked, and now he waffled and changed. they desperately needed to get off to a fast start to get this thing turned, and it doesnt look like thats going to happen.
