Would an actor act? Would a rock star rock? It's called supply and demand. The revenue generated has to go some where.

I see the topic as being the amount of revenue..... and that the average joe cant afford to take his kids to the game because the owners have to pay the players far beyond what they deserve for their services. You honestly think the NFL couldn't make it work selling tickets for $20-$60 and beverages in the $2-$4 range ? But they want to suck us dry and in turn have to pay the players their cut.

Go ask a Soldier or Marine ( Air Force and Navy, well, you do bring women to the FOB so I guess that's good enough :tongue: ) about risking their lives for close to 35k a year which isn't far off from what your typical private makes.

I'd much rather play football for 35K than load-up 100lbs of gear and go for a little walk where people don't like me and have guns.

Last time I checked law enforcement and first responders are risking their lives.

I enjoy football as much as anyone but I don't think what those guys do merits anywhere close to what they are payed. The backwards society we live in where people who do vital jobs are paid crap and meatheads are paid millions to run around and throw a ball.
