Former Fins news: Sean Smith demoted to 2nd team & Burnett released

Well the other corners we have drafted have played so much better than Smith like Taylor and Davis

Well, they sure as hell haven't played worse, and cost a fraction of what KC paid Smith. So we're ahead of the game.

So many fond memories of Smith dropping interceptions. So. many. times.

Well in your book not being able to get on the field equates to playing as well as a guy that started for us ok. If you don't play who cares how much money u save. We paid his kind of money to Wheeler and Ellerbee and they both sucked as well as Clabo

When it comes to the cap you should care. And the proof is now in the pudding; we'd be paying top dollar for and stuck with someone who'd end up backing up Jimmy Wilson. Your idol Matty Ice got what, $103 mil and then with Outsider's 9nth best pass protection ended up going 4-12. So you're right, maybe what we would have wasted on Smith - or Wheeler and Ellerbee, wouldn't have been that awful since everything is relative :idk:

you don't seem to care about the wasted money on either linebacker

It also didn't help when Nolan lined him up with the Wes Welker type of players... SMH, Smith needs to be on tall slower WR not on the speedy ones.

Smith having an inability to play the ball in the air had little to do with what type of receiver he was going. It's tough for me to imagine him batting down a pass even when he wasn't covering anyone.

The Smith thing shouldn't come as a surprise. I was such a hater of him while he was here. All his shortcomings as a player have already been listed in this thread so I won't repeat them. The thing I'll add is he could never make a play in any capacity when it mattered. The "it" factor - on a scale of 1-10 he's a negative 7,000 at least.

I would bring back Burnett no question. Wheeler is hot garbage, and Misi is still mystery at ILB.
I do not think Misi will last the season at ILB. He will get hurt. We better have a back up plan and Wheeler or Ellerbee are not it.
