Fox Sports: Keep An Eye on Donnie Spragan

Exactly. And I believe his current salary is $500K a year (2 year contract) which is what I would consider getting good value for a low a price.

Spragan's salary:

2005 550,000.00
2006 700,000.00

Not including his $500k signing bonus...

so it comes out to around $800,000 this year and $950,000 next year...for his TOTAL cap hit...

Looks like a steal, smells like a steal, then it must be a steal...

i dont know about best. id take Lewis, Boulware and Suggs any day but we could have a top 5-7 with Crowder, Thomas and is Spragan or Moore steps up but more realistically i woudl say like we would have about 10-15 range
Isn't Suggs on the Falcons now?

 It looks like a steal. It smells like a steal, therefore I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's a STEAL. :D

No that would be Ed Hartwell. Backup/3-4 MLB who played alongside Ray Lewis in the middle of their defense. Suggs is with Baltimore and will be used in averiety of ways this year now that they are going back to a 4 - 3 defense.

Wow...you climbed way out there on that one buddy! :roflmao:

for those who don't know about Spragan, all you've got to know is he's as good as Morlon is/was, but was signed for alot yes.

Speaking of Morlon, WTF are the Texans doing? They replace Jaimie Sharper and Aaron Glenn with Morlon Greenwood and Phillip Buchanon.... wow what an improvement

Let Channing Crowder Start

Agreed. From what I saw of Spragan last season, I view him as average at best. Perhaps Spragan needs to be in a better scheme but he didn't show me anything athelitically to wow me. I think he's an above average backup but I think Crowder has the potential to be amazing. I have viewed alot of Spragan's games as compared to Crowder's so my opinion is not as strong with Crowder but I do seem to recall him being all over the place. In the end its up to Saban and I feel comfortable with him picking the best player for the position.

I got to see Spragan play a lot of games here in Colorado with the Denver Donkeys. I think we got a nice pickup and he can help if Zack needs a rest.

:)
