I agree with Czarneski on this one. In a unbiased straight up competition where Zach hasn't already established himself, Crowder could take Zach's job, but Zach is well established with the team, and it's fans. He is a pillar to this team; so he won't take Zach's job. Crowder is bigger and faster than Zach. The main advantage that Crowder has over Zach is he can take on blockers. Zach is not successful when a blocker gets to him, that's why we have to utilize our DTs to "block" for Zach so he can get to the RB.

The main knock on Crowder is "durablilty", I am very concerned about he knee surgeries he had in the past, but since three of the top knee doctors in the country gave him the ok that he is fine, allows me to feel a little more at ease about it. If Crowder stays healthy, he will be a BEAST.

He's played two years on those knees, hes not the first player to have knee injuries and come back, Mcgahee blew his knee out, did it slow him down last year?

You remember Terry Allen RB?, came back from bad knee injuries and had a real good career.

Its no joke and hes not reaching when he says it. As a matter of fact I think Zach could be gone by this time next year since his cap numbers only get bigger and hes only getting older.

Crowder is absolute stud; a top 40 player in talent, he only fell because of concerns about his knees and attitude since hes been in a couple of scuffles.

I was absolutely psyched when we landed him.

I hope he lines up next to Zach in the 3 4 defense. And if he actually beats zach out for his position that would say a lot for what kind of player he is.

Crowder has the talent to be a perrenial probowler, so yes he may supplant ZT eventually.

And those who say ZT can't play in a 3-4 are mistaken. Yes, the scheme generally uses bigger LBs, but such limitations can be overcome if the player excels in other areas (which ZT does). That's how Sam Mills (who is smaller than ZT) was a probowler in a 3-4 scheme.

I never thought I would see anyone come back from the carnage I witnessed McGahees knee take that night on tv.

If he can come back from that, so can Channing. Actually he already has. The games he missed last year were not due to knee related injuries.

i would think that with the players saban is bringing in, ZT may have even more opportunities to make plays. there will be more big bodies to take on O-lineman. ZT is a student of the game and will probably figure ways to improve his play in the new scheme. of course, i could be wrong....lol

I cant believe so many of you are bad mouthing Zach. This is a probowl player, he has been the heart and soul of the D with JT. Get rid of him? Hell no!

I dont understand why so many of you think Zach will be gone yet alone replced by a rookie!

If you want to talk about LB's that are soon to be gone talk about Seau. I like Seau though but he is getting older!

There's a difference between badmouthing a player and recognizing he is closer to the end of his career than its beginning. And there's nothing wrong in identifying a viable successor whenever that end comes.

I agree but who is closer to the end? Zach or Seau? Nothing wrong with Crowder, I think he was a steal and is part of the future. I just see Seau gone first!

Seau ... but Seau is also playing OLB for us. It is logical to see Crowder, an ILB being envisioned as a successor to Thomas, our current MLB i-- rrespective of the possible 3-4 conversion.

that girl in the avtar...thats the one and only VIDA GUERRA.. i know that bottom anywhere...yum. Oh, yeah CROWDERS a stud.

zachs skills are declining and he's definitely not woth all the money he's getting - sadly, it's time to move on...
