Framework set for Ryan Tannehill, Dolphins

Let him watch for a little and if things arent going good put him in and let him get to know the nfl

back to david garrard i know he missed the entire season last year with that back but am i mistaken or did he get dinged up a lot prior in the years after he signed that massive contract in jax...that contract frankly the jags regretted down the road...said he got fat and happy on the money...i seem to recall him getting dinged up a lot...i just don't think guys find health as they age...and garrards not taken contact in over a year...i doubt he's also got the same level legs he had two years ago also and they were showing signs of slowing down then...

if he doesn't win the starting job outright i think you cut him...i guess they could keep him for mentoring tannehill purposes and he does strike me as a good guy for that but if that's not the plan you cut a 34 year old veteran qb that you don't have confidence can stay healthy

The #6 overall pick Morris Claiborne just signed a contract fully guaranteed with no offset language.

Now only 7 first round picks remain unsigned...one of them being Ryan Tannehill.

#03 - RB Trent Richardson, Cleveland
#04 - OT Matt Kalil, Minnesota
#05 - WR Justin Blackmon, Jacksonville
#08 - QB Ryan Tannehill, Miami
#11 - DT Dontari Poe, Kansas City
#20 - WR Kendall Wright, Tennessee
#23 - QB Brandon Weeden, Cleveland

To my knowledge the only prospect that signed a contract which included the controversial offset language is #26 overall DE Whitney Mercilus. I could be wrong though. Not every team has guaranteed the 4th year of their draft picks' salary period, but that's not abnormal.

The Cleveland Browns and first-round pick Trent Richardson have come to terms on a deal, sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.

The deal, sources said, is worth $20.4 million over four years with a $13.341 million signing bonus and is fully guaranteed with no offset language in the deal.
