Free agent RT Zach Strief has declined to visit the Dolphins.

Terron Armstead is the Saints starting LT. He replaced a struggling Charles Brown and started off shakey but quickly got stronger with every start. He played very well in the playoffs against some good competition (Philly and Seattle). Armstead is a freak of nature at 6' 5", 305 lb. he ran a 4.65 at the combine, benched 225 lb. 31 times, and had a 9' 4" broad jump. The Saints always find OL value later in the draft got him in the third round.

Charles Brown is available.
 
Not surprised at all. He has been pretty obvious about his intentions of wanting to stay. If he wants to stay in NO so bad, let him. At this point even if he did change his mind, I'd be afraid his heart and head wouldn't be in it for us this year and he'd be a huge bust for us. Only good thing he did in all this was not completely waste our time and come down, wait for an offer and then go take that back to NO for leverage. NEXT!!!!!
 
If he had been visiting other teams and turned us down, i'd be more upset. But, I haven't heard of him going anywhere yet. No bigee.

Zach Strief never had a visit set up. His agent was active in contacting Dolphins, others.

No, I just believe that you need to keep the market open and not shut off your options. If I was buying a car, I wouldn't shop around even if I knew what car I wanted. I would use that to negotiate with the dealer I wanted to buy the car from. I wouldn't let it out that I am not going to look at other cars and dealers so that the one guy I want to buy from is negotiating from a point of strength.

It must take you forever to buy a car. Just go where you want to buy the car and say "no" until you get the price you like. But no, Strief didn't need us. He can get offers from other teams or his agent could simply lie about offers from other teams.

C'mon guys. he was on the Saints and wants to stay on his team. This is no different than when a Dolphin wants to stay with the Dolphins. It's quite common. Players often want to stay with their current teams Miami fans have no possession over Strief.
