free agent running backs

I beleive good play heals all and time has a funny way of passing and making us forget. Already you see more and more Ricky supporters with his on field play and attitude. By the end of the year there will be only a few rumbles from people and Ricky will resign with the fins. How do you pass up on a Ricky/Ronnie backfield in a vertical offense? We could be unstoppable if our Oline steps up and our qb plays even halfway decent

There won't be any trade value for Ricky again. There will be a few good RB's in the draft and a slew of Free Agent Studs.

For some reason the RB market seems to be cyclical. All the stud draft picks from years ago will be hitting free agency soon enough, and the only time there is a strong market for quality runners is when all the studs are shored up with multi-year deals. For example, there was no available quality RB's around the past few years and teams (like the dolphins) were trying to pry away backups like najiv davenport, lamont jordon and deshaun foster.

In 5 years it will happen again when the studs emerge between Julius Jones, Steven Jackson, JJ Arington, Frank Gore, Caddiliac, Benson, and Ronnie.

As it is right now, and as it will be 5 years from now, you won't be able to get any trade value for any RB. Let alone one that views Lenny Kravitz as a role model.

i say we wait and see if:

1. ricky can return to form and be an elite running back again

2. if Ronnie brown can make it in the NFL.

Problem with that is how would we answer either of those questions with them splitting time and not getting a full load..
