free agent wide receivers

Not sure there is anyone out on the market right now that would provide much of an upgrade. Just go with what he have and hope some young guys like Wallace, Gates, Matthews and Cunningham can step up, then address the position next March or in the next draft.

Use that extra roster spot on a backup linebacker.

I hope we keep an eye on out on cuts because outside of Bess this wr roster is bad. Wallace did show some potential but hell its one preseason game

Yea, I don't think there is anyone out there either.

I just don't want to sign a vet for the sake of it if his production isnt going to be significantly better than what we have.

Having a bunch of no-names might be a blessing. Wait got Hartline to heal, and go from there.

We have like 10 receivers in camp right now. There's noone out there worthwhile. Go with what we have. Win, lose our, draw. We're going to suck regardless unless Tannehill is Peyton Manning out the gate.

Agree with trying for the trade. We need to add another
receiver that has experience. It will go a long way to helping
whoever is the starting QB.

Between Naanee, Bess, and Harline there should be plenty of WR experience on the field this year. Talent is another matter.

Yes exuro I should have said talent. While I do want to see what the
younger WR can do, getting concerned the offense will struggle alot
again and just not looking forward to that.

Or extra RB......maybe Thigpen.

Our situation really sucks, the more I think about I kind of wish we just kept Marshall. I was good with keeping Chad too, we've put ourselves in a real mess now. Hartline isn't looking very reliable with his injury status, Bess is solid but not a #1, Gates has speed...but that's about it, Wallace looked good in the first preseason but that's not enough to go by.

I hate being in a position where we have to pick someone up out of necessity. I really hope the guys we have make it through the year injury free and improve considerably so we can use one of next year's high picks on a stud WR.

imo then we better leave tanny on the bench because we just might make the best QB that we have had in over a decade turn gun shy just because WE DIDNT GET HIM A WR THAT KNOWS HOW TO HELP BAIL HIM OUT OF TROUBLE . if we keep what we have than i say we better leave tanny on the bench this year or take A REAL BIG CHANCE IN TURNING HIM GUNSHY.

I have often wondered about the notion to have to get a player with experience. Have to get a receiver with experience. I don't know if I believe that anymore. Philbin believes in developing his own guys. Or getting them young enough to develop. There might be new receivers signed, but not the veterans many of you are talking about.

I feel like Sims Walker is destined to be a Dolphin, but we just keep passing on him. There really is nothing out there on the scrap heap that will dramatically change this team. Let our giant mass of mediocre prospects fight it out.

Im guessing he meant to say Wallace...And no he did not.. I would offer up a 2nd for him

Wow. A 2nd. Gee, so generous. Pittsburgh would laugh so hard they would refuse to talk to you ever again.

Wallace is worth at least a 1st. And maybe even have clauses in the trade that they may get a 2nd pick as well.

I THOUGHT that i read somewhere that at one time the steelers wanted to trade Wallace for a 2nd rounder ,must have been speculation.
