free agent wide receivers

i say lets se how the next games goes...pruitt, moore, wallace have been he long enough to develop into a decent WR in the league, but yet they cant beat out gates, hartline, or bess and thats saying something dont you think? im trying to be positive about the next few years...but its starting to look like im in a time warp and all i see another cam cameron twilight zone year...smh

How about Curenski Gilleyen? I figure it is only a matter of time till people start pimping scrubs on Green Bays roster so let me start!

Plaxico Burress?

Unless we give up something significant (which Ireland is reluctant to do) we will no be targeting to trade for a big name WR. Especially at this time of the season. The good thing is if Philbin's system is like Green Bay's, then we won't be needing a big name WR as the system itself will make our WRs succeed.

WR J. Pruit at 6'2" 206 lbs is not a little guy. He did look good, but his YPC was not that great, and that came against 2nd and 3rd team DB's.

Its too late in the game, go with what ya got, unless some how a good WR comes loose at cut time, if no, then wait til next year, IMO.

I'm totally in the 'go with what we have' camp right now. Our D blows and we're gonna lose. Why spend money or draft picks? The Steelers' Wallace is still not a true #1 receiver. How long have opposing defenses been using their #1 corner to cover him? Not long. He's a very fast guy and he can catch a bit but he's never had to display those true #1 WR skills before, like beating the jam and making the play in traffic on a crucial 3rd down. Wallace is no Andre Johnson and never will be. You stick Revis or Champ Bailey on him and he'd be lucky to get A catch.
