We don't really know if the Jets have a better coaching staff now. I'd say they absolutely did when Sparano and co. were here, but this is a fresh staff (for the most part) and nobody knows how they will fare yet. So as of right now, the "better CS" piece is subjective at best.
I would also say that the Jets have a more volatile locker room and a team that no longer believes in their quarterback (regardless of what the media will say). The defense is also getting older. I think the Jets have regressed more than you'd like to admit and aren't that far away from just being a middle-of-the-pack team again (like they were this year).
I will say that the Jets at least have a playmaker (Revis) that I would love for the Dolphins to have, but realistically, I think the Dolphins' offense is in better shape than the Jets right now. No clue on the defense (right now I'd give the edge to the Jets), but the Dolphins are younger and potentially moving to a new system. I have no idea if that will work out, but I'd like to think that Coyle can light a fire under the ***** of the under performing guys (Davis, Smith, etc). We'll see, because after all, right now all we can do is speculate.
Our staff has bee to 2 title games in 3 years, you didn't wow w/ any of your hires. That doesn't mean they won't be better but on paper as we speak now the Jets get the edge.
As volatile as our LR was our players didn't come to blows like Davis and Marshall, right?
If the Jets didn't believe in their QB why would they have brought in a conservative guy like Sparano? They would have gone all in for Peyton if they didn't believe in sanchez.
Offensively going forward we have a better QB, OL, Rbs are about even, WRs are about even. We have the edge on O. As bad as our O was we still scored more points and had a more efficient offense and that was a/ all the dysfunction.
Again, anything can happen. Miami may make great moves this offseason, the CS may turn out to be really good and you could be better but on paper as of today we clearly have the edge.
