Friends of Feeley

This Feeley haters are last years Fiedler Huggers. They refuse to acknowledge that AJ outplayed Gus this preseason as a whole.

Let them gloat. I am confident that Gus Fielder will not do them any favors.

:rofl3:

FEELEY IS A BUM!!!

It seems that we the "fans" are the only ones making a "stink" out of the situation...

Saban seemed to have made the right move in selecting Gus, since he "does" know Linehan's system. Is Gus a better QB than AJ or Sage? I don't know, to me they seem the same, just older...

I believe Saban wanted someone to hold the fort (since we could not get Daunte), teach and lead this young Offense, on Linehans system... noted by the comforting comments by Linehan on Gus' Pre-Season performance...

I believe this was the plan all along now, specially since Gus is the only man for the job at hand...

Saban wants to win now and does not want to be handicapped by an inconsistant QB trying to learn the new system...

Right now, I trust Saban and I believe he does not owe me an explanation... at least not for the next 3 years...

I wanted to chime in, because I think that this thread is a very good point, and also Icestorm, I very much like your point as well. I will admit 100% that I have been backing feeley to win the job since last preseason. Maybe more of an anyone but Feidler backing, but as I saw him, I liked what I saw. I somewhat wrote off last year to the fact that everything that could go wrong, did. He came into a horrible situation, and it ate him alive. Shoot, who knows if that's still the problem, and he has never been able to snap out of it. But the point is that I am really depressed and worried about our beloved phins, and the QB situation. I don't think anyone can say that Gus has shined out there, and even more so because of him being in the same system for the last few years. But like I was saying Icestorm, I don't think these guys realize how dumb it sounds to drill feeley and sit there thinking that everything is going to be alright now. I have already passed the point of not really caring whose name is on the back of our QB's jersey, as long as they are sucessful, but I don't know how anyone can find his demotion as good news. Wake up guys, things are looking bleak at QB right now. I hope things change quickly, and I really really hope were talking about how good we looked after every weekend. GO PHINS!!!!

The other teams especially in our conference are very upset about Feeleys demotion and even Las Vegas has had to change the over-under in points for the AFC East teams because Feeley won't be throwing td passes to their db's every five minutes.

I hated Fiedler. With a passion. Fiedler is better than Feeley I'm sorry to say. It's hard for me to say Fiedler is better than anyone, but it's true.
If outplaying Gus means a higher completion percentage against scrubs, throwing dink and dunk passes as usual, then completely choking against 1st team defenses, then I guess you're right. Feeley has no balls and no skills to play at this level.

His demotion is good news because it shows Saban won't stick with an underachieving QB unlike a certain pornstache wearing coach we all know.

how was his worse far worse? he threw a pick 6 and gus fumbled one for 6 come on now! feeley percentage was better, his long ball was better? what do you ask gus also had startign o-line? these gus excuses are so old and sorry!

Who also had to contend with starting D-Lines. And Frerotte threw against starting secondaries but had the advantage of throwing to starting receivers. AJ had a backup O-Line but they only had to defend against backup D-Lines. He threw to 2nd string receivers, but they were defended by 2nd string DBs.

the "who they played with/against" argument isnt valid...its a wash from any angle you look at it, except for 1 point......The overall speed of the game would be slightly faster for the starting team. Faster pass rushers, faster defensive backs, as well as faster receivers and backs. So, the QB that plays with/against starting calibre players is going to have less time to process all the information coming at him. If he is at least as effective as the backup QB then he should get the nod.

You know, I just wanted the best to play, AJ had all the chances in the world to be the starter, he blew it! You people need to get over this. The best QB on our team might just be Sage! That's life, go with it!

Of course Feidler is better than Feeley, EVERYBODY is better than Feeley. He was a career 3rd stringer in Philly and sure enough he brazenly fought his way into the 3rd string slot here.

over under in points? where have you seen that posted?

Feeley is POS QB no matter how many TD he throws to our team or the other team. YOu people quit cryin and let it go already. Pretty soon he will be a distant memory.

Gus is also a POS QB. Too me he cant do squat without Randy Moss on his side. For a person who know Linehans system he is garbage. This year is going to suck for us again, believe that.

Who knows maybe we get a good first round pick and end up getting a bad arse QB in the draft.

Your post nailed it on the head and is very similar to what I have been stating. Feeley had his whole future in front of him, a possible starter for our team. How did he respond to the challenge? Meekly, to say the least. Saban must be disgusted at AJ's failure to seize this very important moment in his career. Thus the demotion.
I actually got to meet Feeley this summer when I took my son to his Football camp in Las Vegas for 3 days. AJ was there each day and I spent alot of time talking to the coaches helping him at the camp and was around AJ enough to get a feel for his personality. To me, he didnt come off at all like an aggressive guy. Very mild personality, quiet, even a little immature in terms of his not understanding how he could have really had a bigger impact on the kids by talknig a little more, really coaching up the boys, etc. He wasnt at all pompus, or arrogant, it wasnt stand offish at all, but to me when the event was over I looked at it like it was a missed opportunity for him to really grab some support in terms of his fan base. He high fived kids alot, served kids water, etc...and was good in terms of his servants attitude, but I think he's just a quiet guy. Perhaps if I read him right he's that way on the team too?

AJ outplayed Gus? Are you kidding? Sage outplayed them both.

AJ and Gus both suck and wont be on the team next year. Feeley might not be here next week.

This is a learning year for Saban, and he will get a QB in here for the future. It sure wont be anyone on the roster now.

Seriously Saban is just grabbing at air. The Dolphins are going to suck until we get a decent QB. Frerotte and Feeley are not the answers. Rosenfels looked good during the Falcon game, but how would he do in a clutch situation? Realistically it doesn't matter who starts or finishes the season, we won't be a Super Bowl caliber team until we get a decent qb and an O-line. I hope gus does well, but I don't see it happening. See you at the 2006 draft very high in the draft order.
