Fritz Pollard Alliance: Ray Farmer "mulling over" 2nd interview

Per LaCanfora, who seems to be everyone's latest punching bag.

Does this mean Farmer is actually considering, you know, turning down a second interview? I mean, :bobdole:.

More on this story as it slithers out on someone's filth....

According to what I read earlier, Wooten told Farmer that the Miami GM position may not be something he should consider, personally I think Wooten's big problem is, he does not like the amount of say the GM position may bring in Miami. Kind of hypocritical considering Wooten is supposed to work in getting minorities more opportunities to get a high position in an NFL organization, and now when one has a chance at following Newsome as the 2nd African American GM, he is giving Farmer bad advise, to not take it.

Things change very fast in sports, today he has a great chance at being a GM, tomorrow nobody might want him, and his only chance to become a GM may never happen again.

It's John Wooten of Fritz Pollard Alliance trying to remain part of the process. They need to make a buck too.

If the guy has to think about it, do you really want to hire him?

Besides I hope he does turn it down. I want nothing to do with him.

Just promote Gaine before the media has even more of a field day making us look like clowns through this process. Gaine is by far the best choice since we are keeping everyone else. A bad season next year makes it easier to pull the plug on everyone if Gaine is the hire. If you bring in a GM from the outside it makes it tough to cleanse the whole thing after next season should it go real bad.

Farmer is in a great position to get more money, years and power. Might as well work it.

I don't think so. Wooten is Farmer's mentor. If something was leaked it was by design.

Thats how I am reading it too.

Hope he isnt Garrard or Parcells and just trying to milk us for what he can without any concern for the team or how he or the team performs.

Well, remember that the early confusion on the part of the Fritz Pollard Alliance led to them advising candidates to turn down interview opportunities. Then the Dolphins clarified, but the process has revealed even more confusion, which might be part of this. Wooten and Farmer are very tight, remember.

Exactly.

Right on.

I'd LOVE nothing more, than to believe that there's an Ace In The Hole.....that none of us know about. With that being said,I sure as hell hope that we don't wind up with NOTHING at GM. "IF" in our worst case scenario....we screw this up too, I'll jump on the wagon, for Ross to sell our 'Boys to someone who "CARES" and "GETS IT"!!!

Maybe he is isoing himself from Aponte and wants to make a call on Joe at the end of next year. That would reasonable and smart. Without those guarantees, how is supposed to turn the ship around?

Ross should simply promote Gaine.

Gaine is the logical choice considering its a "yes-man" our organization is after.

I agree. It is the best option in the short term

Dolphins are going to end up with Peter Griffin for GM. Count on it!

Gaine would do a nice job this offseason. He needs a chance.

Its what he shouldve done the first day after Ireland left and avoided this whole fiasco if he had no intentions of firing Dawn and the coaching staff.
