im not gonna get too excited here and say something stupid like it will be the best in the nfl, but i think it's gonna be pretty damn good. excellent depth on the d line with some guys that will get after it and i think carter will bring more of a pass rush from the DT spot. we beefed up on end too with holliday and roth. chester will be back and should be ready to go. not sure about t bow but if he does return thats just an adden bonus. in the lb corp zach is gonna get off this year because he will be able to run around and do his thing without any o linemen on him, thanks to the d line. i think seau still has something left in the tank and wants to prove that, and we have tons of young depth right behind those 2. our secondary is going to the the big question mark. i think we will be top 5 in nfl vs the run, but will rely very heavily on pressuring the qb to make our secondary have to cover less time, then they can get it done without alot of talent. i have a real good feeling our defense is going to be good next year, and our d line is going to raise hell!

i dunno about chester, it usually takes 2 years to get over an acl tear

It takes that long for a RB or a WR to round back into form. I can't even name a DT who has torn one before to be able to make any sort of prediction. Can you?

It will also be interesting to see how Rex handles the injury as a QB...

You know what's a scary thought...if Saban continues drafting/signing FA like this, just imagine how frightning our D will be in a few years.

I want to see our DT's first. Timbo is injury prone (can't blame him he is gettin up there in age - for a NFLer), Chester is recovering from ACL (ouch!), and other than moving Carter inside and the rookie 7th rounder, we are pretty thin at DT. LB and DE are promising, but stopping the run still starts at DT...

Stop dude, you're giving me goose bumps all over.

guys quit raising questions lol. im telling your our d line is gonna be killer this season.

It will be scary. Imagine 3rd down and opposing team is passing. (Hopefully its Jay Fiedler in week 3). We have Holliday, Carter, J. Taylor, Seau, and Matt Roth rushing the QB. It makes me way too excited just thinking about it.

You're right. It can take close to a year to physically heal from it and usually another season of playing for the player to quit thinking about whether or not it's going to tear again. I can only speculate here, but I would think it would be easier for a DT to get past the mental aspect than it would be for a RB or WR, based on what they do once the ball is snapped.

Ill say it, we will have the best front seven in the NFL... find me a team that looks any better.

watch out for the screen lol...

chester will be ok, for a guy that has no speed a acl is no big deal, mainly for stability with cutting, DT is not that kind of position
