Yeah Elway looked excellent. I thought Marino's showing was poor just because he admitted he prepared for it and even practiced with the moving targets like they had.
I actually found the whole thing to be a pretty telling event. Joey Harrington looked horrible, and, well, he is horrible. Brees looked unbelievable in the mobility drill, especially at the end when he had to throw the ball at a target about 10-15 yards directly ahead of him...perfect spiral, right on the money dead center of the target both times he did it. But, when he had to stand still and throw at moving targets, his balls were not fully accurate, and they fell short and died in the air at the end of the long throws.
Jake Delhomme, admittedly for the second time in two days, ran the mobility drill the wrong way lol. All the talent in the world though, from the looks of his arm and accuracy.
The cream of this crop was Delhomme and Hasselbeck, IMO. We still have to see the next two drills tomorrow (long ball and 2-minute drill), but I can already see how Hasselbeck won last year and Delhomme will win this year. That accuracy drill involved a lot of long balls, which is a disadvantage to Brees...and I can imagine when they do the long ball tomorrow, Brees may have the shortest ball of anyone...otherwise I think Brees could have mounted a good run at Delhomme & Hasselbeck.
Leftwich and Rothlesberger are just lookin kind of average out there but not making mistakes so they're hanging in there.
