Well In Casarios case he has been with a great organization for 10 years and who knows what was actually said in interview. Why leave if you will have less say than u want and maybe lose your job in a year just because Philbin doesn't get it done. I was hoping to get him but Belichek and Kraft have done a lot more for him than Ross has to this point.
IMO, Casarios was never really serious about the job. I think he pulled a Ryan Clark on us, and Ross fell for it. But as for Gaines, at this point you go with him. It should have been him to start with once Philbin was retained. Philbin was hired based on a philosophy and vision. The GM needs to share that vision. Gaines offers continuity. For good or bad.
The OP was basically calling out Gaines integrity. Shallow to say the least.
