Gaine is a lock for GM. Here is why.

I feel we will attract a top GM here's why:

* Already having a HC on board takes pressure off the new GM....if year one doesn't work out he can simply say the coach wasn't "my guy" & we need to get someone else.

* We don't have to run out and try a get a QB...give Tannehill a better oline, dynamic offensive coordinator & 1 or 2 more weapons & I feel you will see a world of difference

If Gain was part of last year's draft analysis then I don't want him....did you know the 2013 Dolphin rookies saw the field less then any other team's rookies.

Ughhh...

Its already been said that Gaine now Aponte will not be promoted that they are looking outside the franchise.

Why people just ignore what they have been told, and think they KNOW what is really going on, is beyond me

so if the rookies had more playing time, somehow that makes the fins a better team?

Thank God. I don't want either of them running our 2014 draft

The pessimist in me thinks Gaine gets the job and we are told not to spend in free agency. After we finish 7-9, Ross cleans house. The type of cleaning where he is the only one left in the building. And then we start from scratch again.

The Miami Dolphins will be on their 3rd GM/coach combination in the past 4 years when the season starts in 2014. The fact that they are making changes now is not the concern. The fact that they continue to make changes, have zero consistency organizationally, and have infighting and power plays without clear direction from the owner is what is crippling this team we all root for.

Gaine is a lock for GM. Here is why.

I have been trying to figure out this organization for 20 years and scratch my head thinking about what a circus this is. I believe Gaine is a lock for this job because it makes ZERO sense what is going on presently. Why is the world would you fire your OC, then fire your GM but hold onto your coach? I think it is determined already that Gaine is the guy because he already made decisions on Philbin. There is no way we will get the best possible GM out there if we have a stipulation on keeping Philbin and heck even Coyle? If we hire an OC before our GM we might be the dumbest organization in all of sports. What good GM is going to want to come in here and be told this is what you have to keep? I don't see that happening. I think Ross already has this thing figured out and we are going through the motions to appease the fans. There is no way Polian or Pioli come to Miami and say "AWESOME! We have Joe Philbin and Kevin Coyle! We also have Zac Taylor the best QB coach in the league!" Better yet, if we hire the OC first then the GM would be stuck with 3 guys he may or may not want. This is a circus.

Gaine is a lock or you believe Gaine is a lock.

Why in the hell would Ross promote a guy that worked under the guy he just fired?!?! Would be a poor business decision. Also, again, what makes you (or anyone else) think that the new GM will not like Philbin?

You are right, but the also fail all the time. Miami will be going through a coaching search next year with the GM held over.
Recent history shows that is far from being true.
