Game 1: A Calm, Reasonable, Balanced Perspective

You know how ROSS "sucks up" to celebrities and the "in crowd". Well, CARROLL's Momma is the Lt.Governor of Florida! QED, baby!

Well Carroll's mommy better file assault charges against Brady because he did some nasty things to her baby boy last night on national TV.

NE is just a head of the curve. 2-3 years you'll see more and more 2 top flight TE on the same team just killing it. You're seeing it now anyway..teams like Carolina and others.

What everyone tends to forget is that the NE offense was shredding defenses all preseason, plus they used the TE sets effectively last season as well. Right now they have going on what the Fins had when the "wildcat" first came out. Defenses will adjust but it will take time. Expect the same performance against the chargers on Sunday.......

So overall I'm not too worried about the defense right now, I think they will have a better preformance against the Texans.

always going to be tough when you have the NFL's best quarterback on a career night. I've seen a lot of Tom Brady over the years and I don't know if I have ever seen him play better than last night. everything was a good call and he placed balls perfectly to everyone.
the no-huddle was a great coaching move. with all the talent and schemes, trying to defend at that pace is unbelievibly difficult.
all that being said, if they punch it in on 4th and 1, it's a 4 point game with lots of time and anything could happen from there.

This defense is disgusting..no heart. Nolan Carroll is horrible and I cant see how he made this team over will allen
I think he made it over him because the coaches think allens knee wont last a whole year. Im sure that is the main reason we cut him and kept carrol. Im more worried about the cramping then that. They have been in miami long enough to know to stay hydrated.

Henne and the O did their job. The rest of the team did't show up. We will be chasing a 9-7 record this year at best.

Henne played well. Then offense was decent, but theyndid not do their job. The offense failed to convert on two red zone trips. Also, the second and third series really hurt the team. We needed long drives to give the defense a rest, and we had three and out on one of those drives. We used two time outs that could have been used to slow down the no huddle.

I think our most glaring concern is the complete lack of pass rush. I'm not saying our DB's looked great tonight, but against, arguably, the best and most accurate QB in the league, EVERY defensive backfield in the league will have trouble covering for 5+ seconds all game long. Brady could've ordered a pizza back there at times. Will Allen, while better than Sapp and Carroll IMO, wouldn't have made a difference; you just can't cover for that long.

I completely agree about Henne. After all the crap this guy has taken, he deserves the accolades. Last night, he was a passionate leader who made plays to help us win rather than simply being a robot who cost us the game.

Something of concern I should've put in my original post was the lack of pass rush from players such as Starks, Odrick, and Merling. There has to be an inside push against QBs like Brady.

Nolan Carroll got exposed and the fins better make a change quick cause teams know Miami's weakness on defense and he is the target.

Time to give Fasano some Kudos.....he played a great game and helped his QB out for change, good to see him make plays all over the field.....

Great Post and I agree with you 100%.......we are not ready for the Pats yet, thats what I take from the game last night......

If we can punch it in at the 1 it is a different game and that last drive may have been for the tie....
