Game Day Thread

The run game just enrages me. I used to see Ricky Williams **** on people...and we could not pass to save our lives. Now we can't run for **** and we have to depend on the pass. I would LOVEE to see what would happen if we didn't have a game with about 20 runs for no gain or for a loss.

Dolphins rushed for minus-5 yards in the first half.

So, in retrospect, 14 carries for 2 yards last year wasn't that bad.

LOL, wow that is terrible. I dont know man, I dont see this offensive unit putting 30 points on anyone. Its going to be another year of 17 point per game and leaving it up to the defense. you HAVE TO run the ball at least a little. That is epically bad.

It is definitely concerning. Right now there is nothing worth while behind Lamar Miller that is healthy. Even Miller hasn't shown much. Keeping my fingers crossed that when Moreno returns to action on things can get a little better. Also hoping that the line is just getting used to each other.

Still though, nothing much to like from the run game so far.

BS that the radio crew is making excuses for Thomas because he was up against McCoy.

I'm thinking that someone will take Hartlines's starting job. I know he has a lot of yards but his YAC has always been almost non-existent.

Should be 14-7 if Hartline catches the ball with his hands. Someone on here mentioned him being a body catcher (which he is) and kind of got blasted. I like Hartline, but he needs to catch more with his hands. He did the same thing in the Buffalo game last year and had some KEY drops!

Not a bad 1st half. Thomas got wrecked and lo and behold Tannehill got wrecked for a sack fumble. Run blocking looked atrocious against top DL talent. Way too much penetration on run plays. Good pass blocking for the most part. Tannehill made sharp throws overall, but could have picked one or two other passes that would have netted the team some yards. Overall Tannehill was a B. WRs look really solid. Wallace has to nut the **** up and play some damn ball when the games start to count.

Defense was meh. Good pressure up front on the pass but rush defense was below average to say the least. Tampa has a good run team overall but we couldn't stop Martin too well. Tackling was lackluster with Delmas and Wilson on two plays.

Lot's of things need to be tweaked. Thankfully this is only the second preseason game and as always people need to calm the **** down. We won't know what we have as a team until 5 or 6 weeks into the season. Hate to break that to everyone who is slitting their wrists about that sack fumble and bad tackling, but it's true. Sure you can see issues arising on plays, but it's still preseason and nothing is really known until a few games in. Patience. This is all about tweaking and figuring out what works and who works where.

They have earned it.

In fact, it would be harder to find a WR you don't want to keep as opposed to a RB you DO want to keep.

I'm kinda serious.... keep 2 RBs and 8 WRs. Keep our tradeable assets. Don't cut them simply because we HAVE to keep RBs to fill some mythical part of our team offensive strategy.

Nubs really think it's the line mostly at this point. They can just not create any running lanes.
