Game Day Thread

Ok, calm down everyone. Tannehill looked fine and had a couple unfortunate plays that killed their drives (Sims Fumble, Hartline Drop). Our Defense also looked pretty good against their starters, Romo was really having to be careful against us and took a couple sacks as a result. All I want to see is a TD drive to start the second half and that will show me what I need to see.

Disappointing that Miami lost this half. I think they outplayed them. However, add in the Sims fumble, Dallas Thomas experiment and RT/Wallace miscue the Fins are down 6-3.

I didnt see the game, but have followed the best I could on radio... The score and losing the first half (or 2nd half) means nothing.. Whats more important is the Dolphins being able to outplay Dallas.. In preseason, I just want to see the offense move the ball and the defenses ability to stop the ball and get off the field.. I think we'll be ok on offense, not totally awesome, not outstanding, just ok..... but defense once again has me concerned.. too much cushion and the linebackers are for sure our weak point

Our kicker is hurt as well.. That wont help

Yeah, I think Sturgis and Thigpen may have both won jobs this week by not playing. Landry's fumble was bad and he doesn't look good returning kicks. And aside from potter's injury he kinda sucks at kickoffs.

What is there to excuse? QB made a couple of bad throws and one real questionable decision, we had a fumble and a drop, and we generally just looked like we didn't care to score points.

That's not going to cut it vs New England.

It would be 17-3 against new England. We are playing down to our competition...or Dallas is...not sure which.

I agree

The 3 points isn't because we are getting dominated. We have ran the ball well and had good drives stopped my a fumble after he had the first down and Hartline dropped another (just like last game) first down pass while we were driving in their territory. Also, if Wallace just runs...that is a TD. I want more points, but not upset at what I see...especially in the running game. We have some Debbie Downers in here-SMH.

I disagree, but I appreciate your optimism. I wish I shared it.

I will say that I am pleased with what I've seen of our OL that isn't named Dallas Thomas tonight. But even if the team came in tonight with the sole focus of working on the running game, I do not think that somehow excuses a pass offense that isn't very productive.

Passing game is fine IMO. The main thing that they needed to concentrate and work on this preseason game was the running game. In that regards it was very successful and Moreno took over ghe starting job. Smith earned the starting RG spot.

Defensive line looks good, but I am a little worried about our play against the passing game. Dolphins didn't need to put up 20+ points in the first half.

I would play the starters one series each in the second half and then sit them all until the game versus New England.

Pass offense C
Rush offense A
Run defense B
Pass defense B
Coaching A
Sims, satele, Wallace D
Wheeler/ Ellerbee F

wtf did wallace do ? tannehill can't hit him to save his miserable life

The Dolphins were ranked 27th in total offense and 26th in scoring at 19.8 points per game.

We can complain about the defense here and there but we need to score more points.
