Game Day Thread

I'm a huge Tannehill supporter, but I will call a spade a spade and say that he wasn't that sharp tonight. He drives us down field consistently and then there are just blunders. Be it him or other offensive players, it just happens so often. The focus early on was the running game and that turned out great, but man, we had chances to be up big with how the defense played for us.

I pulled up Tannehill's stats from last year's 3rd preseason game and he drove us to 17 points against a stingy Texans D. Not indicative of much, but he has only led this team to 10 points this entire preseason. Totally different offensive scheme and it is only preseason, but the offense needs to score more points. No one can argue that. When other great teams around the league are putting up 20 or so points with their first team, it's not good to see our 1st team flounder the way they have. Preseason or not, points should be scored when there is chances to score...and there were chances to score. It doesn't matter if it's pop-warner, a pick up game in a back yard, or a preseason game, execution is necessary when the chances are there.

I have the utmost confidence that it will get tweaked when the season starts and we will have Clay consistently out there creating his usual matchup nightmares. This was a preseason I can't wait to forget. Tannehill has looked sharp at times and then just can't punch it in when they're close. The time for testing out the team and creating good offensive habits in the preseason is over and now they have to find a way to tweak all their issues come game time. The o-line looked more than serviceable all preseason long, our defense held up well, and our special teams was the same usual pretty good squad. It's literally on this offense to show everyone that they can do more than drive down field and kick field goals. Preseason is a essentially all wrapped up now, on to the Patriots.
 
Will Davis has leapfrogged Jamar Taylor so hard it's not even funny.

Yep. Like you, I think Ryan Tannehill is the real deal, but he was not good at all tonight. I don't care if there was a miscommunication or what on either the Wallace deep ball or the interception. One looked like a flat out bad throw and the other looked like a bad decision. Even if he was expecting Hartline to run a different route, he threw into triple coverage when he had a man open underneath.

Sooo are we gonna have to hear how bad RT sucks whenever he throws an int? Or how Moore should start. Just stupid. RT has looked very good this preseason. He made a bad read. It happens. Oh by the way. We are are going to be the Patriots!!!!

thats why i thumbs downed his post as it wasnt really worthy of a response. some people dont understand football which is fine, but dont comment like you do if you dont. i always laugh at those who discount preseason.

I dont understand our 4th db is not an all pro?
He said taylor is playing as bad this year as last....
Hmm how much preseason did he get in last year cause i know he had under 50 snaps... So how bad did he really look..

Well we are currently working on that. Though it's a bit late. But my mom is still slutty and I don't want any more half siblings then I already have. What a slut.
