He was OK as our linebacker coach, but he has horrible as the Bills' defensive coordinator. Surprised a team would give him another chance as a DC.

Really, based on what? Who excelled under him, seems like all the LBs play better before they get here or after they left.

I've never seen a bunch of defensive guys that seemed to like tackling less than the 2013 Dolphins. Those LBs were a problem.
Okay, so I'll be the wag to say it: Imagine how bad our linebackers would have been under an average coach, one not good enough to repeatedly earn defensive coordinator positions.
You know darn well that type of adjustment would be proposed the other way.
Actually I didn't think Edwards was poor with the Bills. I can understand another chance. Their pass defense was always in the top third of the league in yards per attempt during his tenure, in the 6.5 to 6.7 range.
Buffalo is the one team that basically doesn't vary in that stat. I can virtually pencil it in every season. I can't think of any other team that stays in the same small range in YPA, either offensively or defensively.

Have you seen Minnesota's defense? They also have their two best pass rushers about to hit the free agent market...Jared Allen isn't coming back either. They can't afford him.

the lb from iowa greenwood i think it is is better than anything we have...and henderson would start for us also
True but their only bright spot in the backend is Rhodes...maybe Harrison...Cook sucks and you know that lol. I thought they were really bad this year against the pass.

rhodes is awful finesse...but we'll see how he looks in year 2...minnesotas got issues for sure...spielman gonna get canned if he hasn't already after next year if they dont fix the qb...none of that in house stuff they have is worth a damn...not sure if he survived or not...
harrisons ok nothing special imo overrated...that draft of theirs recently hasnt impressed me either despite all those high picks
still the starting lb unit is way better than ours...and doesn't cost $100 mil b/t the top 3 of em...
jared allen can take his calf ropin all eyes on me game someplace else...
Jared Allen and Everson Griffin are free agents, Kevin Williams is near the end of his playing days, the backend of the defense is pretty bad and you have Rick Spielman running the show. Only reason I can think of for Edwards to take that job is because he just wants to be a DC in this league but right now I'd say he's getting set up to fail and so is Zimmer but he took the job.

yeah zimmer is for sure if he doesn't get a qb...if i was edwards yeah you may be set up for problems somewhat but you can always get another position coach job if it falls thru...that and who the hell wants to work with our lb core...the only thing they are gonna do is make you look bad i dont care how much you coach em up
