Gibson's Rostor Spot in Jeopardy?

Gibson should be fighting for a roster spot. Isn't it funny that a team with Megatron and Golden Tate aren't content with their WR unit, but us, with Wallace and Hartline are? We should be trying to trade up for Watkins, this is a draft that trading up will be as cheap as when we got Jordan.

Would be an idiotic move if he's healthy. Though I've heard patellar tendon tears are extremely difficult to come back from

I like Gibson quite a bit but hey who knows....maybe his rehab is not going well. We dont. Anyway if theres a shred of truth to it then the name WR Brandin Cooks wr comes to mind in Rd 1.

I very much doubt it will be that cheap to trade up. We didn't have a lot of competition to trade up for Jordan but Watkins will be on a lot of team's boards

i could see Gibson being gone because he might not fit what Lazor's looking for. we're not cutting him because he was inured last year though.

Wow, just wow. Lets trade up for a rookie receiver who wouldn't really be a slot guy anyway and what? Dump the 17 million dollar man? have a dead cap hit the size of Texas? Okay, so we trade a 2nd rounder and a 1st next year to go from 19 to the top 5 to get Watkins.....fantastic....we have 5 receivers, with an average TE core, no stud running back, and one huge hole at RG and mid-level questions at LG and RT.....Jeff Ireland is that you?

You want to complain about the receiver corp? I can't argue Wallace is overpaid and Hartline is slightly overpaid and Gibson is coming off an injury(although pre-injury he was almost on par with Hartline)....great, blame Ireland for overpaying for free agents because he couldn't draft stud impact players. But you can't go into next season with another god-awful offensive line situation. Or lets say we do that, and then again what? Blame Ryan Tannehill for being beaten like Mike Tyson's sparring partner and not developing?

Nick Foles had a monster year....Philly had one of the top 5 olines in the league and a legit stud tailback and a good TE group. His receivers? DeSean Jackson and Riley Cooper. Nuff said.

I swear if the Fins draft a wideout in the first 2 rounds I'll throw up in my mouth. How many QB's put up monster #'s and then lose in the playoffs because they have no running game, or a weak defense or the oline gets knocked around? Jesus, its not Madden.

Yeah lets mimic the Lions, great idea!

I don't think Gibson is good signing to begin with. A mediore WR. But if the team cut him, it probably just for money. The team probably will draft a couple of WRs as long as not high picks.

Did you really watch the games last season? He was a good signing and was very reliable outlet for Tannehill - the season headed south only after he got injured. Out of interest, are you employed by the cheese factory or the baby oil man to troll these sites? I doubt that you're a Dolphin fan.

Not sure Gibson is the only concerning thought at WR. Binns, Gibson, and Hartline all suffered knee injuries last year so it would be stupid of Miami not to bring in other WR's if by chance one or all of them aren't ready to go. Binns was hurt in camp, so he should be ready to go in camp, but maybe not for OTA's and you never know with a knee injury. Gibson hurt his knee in late October and the recovery time for his injury is usually 9-12 months. There is a good chance he starts the season on the PUP if not the IR. Hartline had a similar injury to Gibson (although I don't think as severe) and while he claims he will be back for camp he wont be there for OTA's and the same as with Binns or Gibson, you never know how a knee is going to recover and often the mental recovery takes longer than the physical. All this while trying to install a new offense with a new OC. To not bring in other receivers and possibly draft a receiver or two in one of the deepest WR draft classes I have ever seen would be irresponsible IMO.

I think that basically sums it up perfectly.
