Minor would be cut before Chatman. Jesse is a better runner, and returns kicks as well. Travis is only signed to a one year min deal anyway

Isn't that also true for Jesse?

Minor *is* second on the depth chart at the official site...
 
I can see Kay Jay being the backup to Ronnie Brown in 2006. Ricky Williams could be trade bait next offseason if he proves he can still play this year.

do you expect Jesse to immediately be #2 after Ronnie? I dont, he just joined the team....

I have no idea what kind of deal he signed, and its not on nflpa.org yet

My point was more that Minor isn't the guy to be calling out based on the chart. It would seem that Morris is farther on the bubble than Minor is. That can change in 6 weeks, but Morris and Minor have had the whole offseason to contest their order on the depth chart.
 
Its a good move if we have any major injuries or a Ricky problem mid season.
 
Was also glad to get Jones on there. Nice to know we have a solid backup option at punter.

sorry, didnt realize you were talking about Sammy....I thought you were talking about ditching Jesse :o

realistically, I could see Sammy getting the boot eventually anyway now that Eckel is on the roster

I think I led you down that path a bit, too -- I asked a question I intended to be totally unrelated to the comment that came after it, but I think I'd probably also read them as related if it were me reading those same comments left by somebody else. I really was just asking about Chatman's contract and then making a point about Minor being ahead of more than just Jesse on the chart as of now. :)
