Glazer: Redskins acquire 2nd pick from Rams

It looks like other teams were offering what the Skins were...

So the value of the pick wasn't going down...

The Brownies were going hard after the pick it seems...

Les Snead really fleeced those guys. lol

If Rams make good picks they are going to be a good team.

at least they got balls...more than i can say for this franchise smh.

Theres a difference between having balls, taking educated guesses, and being a complete dumbass.. all of which will not be answered in this scenario for a couple seasons.

Just a thought:

Look at the cost that comes from winning a couple more games than the 2nd-worst team in the league...

there's extra picks also in this trade...not just 2 #1's and swap from #2 to #6 this year...heavy price...better invest in an oline that can keep him from taking hits like he did in college

They traded their #1 pick for the next 3 years and a second rounder.

If he doesn't pan out, they're completely screwed. There's nothing sensible about that trade.

They should have waited out longer, their only real rival for RG3 was Cleveland and I don't think they were going to give up their two number ones or even a 2013 number one to jump up two spots

If Washington waited they could have jumped up to #3 with Minnesota on draft day after the Rams had picked Kalil, or at least the price would have been lower if they traded with STL after the Browns had gotten someone through FA

There is NO price for a franchise QB. You very rarely win a super bowl without a franchise QB. Look at what the Giants gave up just to trade Eli for Rivers...If RGIII is a stud we are all going to be looking back saying we should of made that trade, especially with all the weapons we already have, just needing a QB. If we don't get Manning or Flynn it won't be good.

Giants traded for Eli.

They gave up 1st that year, future 1st, future 5th and 3rd...

Now the top picks have a higher price since their is a rookie wage scale...

It makes sense for the 2nd best QB of the draft considering the dropoff from Luck/RG3 to the rest of the crap is HUGE.

From what I read, they swapped their 6 and 2 picks, and just 1 first rounder for 2013, and 2014, and a 2nd pick from 2012. I may be wrong though, but they only really traded 3 picks away. 2 first and a 2nd if im correct.

They swapped 1s this yr, 2 future 1s and a 2nd next yr.
