Glazer: Redskins acquire 2nd pick from Rams

Sanchez in 2012 will be tied with Ben Reothlisberger for the 2nd highest paid QB in the NFL behind Vick.....

I wished we sucked some more and got the 1 or 2 pick...

Good thing we won those meaningless games at the end of the year, boy did it help!

I never would have made that trade for RGIII, but I'd happily offer double that for Luck.

LOL ... hark ye buh-doink-a-doinks!!

Not only did Tony & Henne (shame he went down) had us Sucking For Luck ... but the StL Spams could have been us ... THREE 1st Rounders & other serious consideration.

Sigh ... what coulda been!!

Oh well, we'll just suck it up & put our faith in Ireland & Philbin. I'm positive, but in Look-See mode.

That price is ridiculous. Talk about putting pressure on a player, maybe we'll get him after 3 uneventful seasons ala ricky

meaningless wins is right...once you start 0-3 and you got no franchise qb you might as well just lose em all...starting 0-7 and then winning 6 of the last 9 was pretty much just a waste of time...

3 firsts and a second is way too much for me. Two ones and two twos is the most I would go.

why do you guys keep saying 3 #1's...they swapped #1's in 2012...thats not the same thing as 3 #1's...

A lot of bitter folks on the site tonight.

Their fans are going nuts...Finally getting a chance to get a potential franchise QB...

While many on this site are content with crappy Matt Moore...

RGIII might be another C NEWTON, or even remind 'Skins fans of the good ole days of D WILLIAMS, or THEISMAN & The Hogs. Or he might morph into V YOUNG or J RUSSELL. All I DO know is that QBs who make plays w/their feet are more likely to (a) get hurt; and (b) bust. Because the skills level in the NFL is more than they ever DREAMED of facing in college. At this level, EVERYBODY was topshelf in college.

That having been said, I like RGIII's chances: THAT young man has BRAINS! Still, there's risk...especially going to a weak team, and in the NFC East no less!!! RGIII hasn't come close to seeing the kind of pressure that he will soon see.

They get 2nd pick overall, giving 3 #1's. That's the trade. You can say they swap this years 1st, plus 2 1st picks from next years, but it's the same thing...

People that say they could have waited dont understand that Cleveland was trying to move up also, in fact Cleveland was supposedly close to a deal for the pick. Now is it alot to give up yes but lets dig deeper.

So lets say we switched picks this year. We also traded our last two 1st rounders Mike Pouncey and Jared Odrick along with our last second rounder Koa Misi.
Not sure that would even come close to crippling our franchise. In fact the Ditka trade did not cripple the saints as many people claim. If that was so how did they make the playoffs the year after the trade. what killed Ditka was a combination of qb's Billy Joe Hobert, billy Joe Tollivar, Danny Wureful and an early Jake Delhomme. Not sure I want to give up that much to get RG3 but the Skins have alot of cap space and could survive giving up the picks, hell we went through a period where we could have gave up 5 staight number one picks that wouldnt have affected us. I believe in building through draft but they still will have other picks each year and RG3 is probably the most unique qb to ever come into the league. Hell if it would give us Luck I would trade Jake Long, Mike Pouncy and our first rounder and next year's second.

Owners like Snyder make Ross look like a superstar of an owner. I would hate to be a Redskins fan right about now. That's like pushing all in, knowing your opponent has the better hand on the turn and needing a one-outer to beat him.

Good trade for....... WASHINGTON!!!!! 1st rd picks don't mean a damn thing, half are bust anyways... If you don't have a game changer you aren't winning a thing. Giants gave up a lot for Eli and it seems to be working out.
