Glazer: Redskins acquire 2nd pick from Rams

Owners like Snyder make Ross look like a superstar of an owner. I would hate to be a Redskins fan right about now. That's like pushing all in, knowing your opponent has the better hand on the turn and needing a one-outer to beat him.

It's a high risk bet. They either win hard, or bust hard. IMO, if you feel like there won't be a guy with RGIII conditions for many years to come, go for it. I wouldn't with RGIII, but seems like they feel strongly he's the future.

Great trade for the Skins...

Without a QB, you are garbage in this league as we have shown...

I actually hear you. I'd rather have a Franchise QB and not first round pick, than no Franchise QB and a first round pick. I'm talking about the third #1, you know the first two are money spent. If you are high on one of the QBs at 1 or 2, then the money is worth it. If your right it is worth it. It would have been a good move for Miami because fans will never be happy until there is an elite QB here.

Great no more RG111 thread's.............

I couldn't agree more. I bet RGIII is a super star in the NFL and the Skins will be very happy with the trade. A gutsy call which I believe will pay off. I wish Ross had traded for that pick. Now we'll get Manning and be looking for our franchise qb again in a few years time. I'd like us to pick Tannehill now.

I feel bad for RG3... The worst possible situation he could be traded to was Washington. Nevermind that the division is already stacked with quarterbacks and Eli pretty much owns it.. but RG3 would have been a perfect fit for us or Cleveland, a WCO team.

The Redskins is just not for him.

Three 1sts (essentially two since one is a small swap) and additional picks? No thanks, I'd have loved RGIII but not at that cost

The Skins fans won't be saying that when they win two or three Super Bowls in the next ten years! People say it was too much of a price to pay, but, it's similar to the Giants trade for Eli and look how that turned out. I wish Miami had pulled the trigger. We'll see, only time will tell if RGIII is worth the price.

If I were RGIII, I would pull an Eli. Sorry but the Redskins are GARBAGE. They got no talent, the Giants and Eagles own them. Just don't even enter the draft and go to another team next year. What a horrible situation to go to. Hell I'd prefer the Browns over the Redskins even with that tough division, at least the Browns have some talent.

Fantastic deal for the Rams and Fisher assuming it goes through

Even if Griffin is as good as advertised it's hard to see how the Redskins can turn things around and win championships without all those picks

Ballsy move by the Skins. I'm not sold on RGIII, but if the Skins are then fair play to them. Did all they could to get their guy.

Brutal trade for the Skins. Brutal. TOO MUCH!!! That is classified as trading the farm for him. Glad the Fins did not bite.

you would rather have Jared Odrick, JAson Allen, Ronnie Brown, Jammar Fletcher, Vontae Davis and Mike Pouncey over a great QB eh .. or how about adding some 2nd round garbage like Philip Merling (who should be considered a 1st rounder as he was selected at number 32) ,, Koa Misi , Pat White, and Sean Smith while you`re at it

that doesn`t mean that RGIII will be a great qb, it means that you can have 10 Jared Odricks Philip Merlings jamar fletchers jason allens and mike pounceys,, and all of them combined would not come close to what a great qb brings to a team

this is 2012, not 1962

all of our first round picks over the past 15+ years haven`t amounted to a small hill of beans without a fukkin quarterback. We have drafted every position on the field besides QB since forever and where has that gotten us.. it has gotten us to no playoff wins in over a fukking decade is where its gotten us. Every football fan laughs at the miami dolphins as the dolphins are a perennial laughing stock

I salute the Redskins for making the move. At least they have a plan and know where to start. The Dolphins haven`t had a plan in 40 years

Luck and Barkley I could have seen making a move like that for.... they've got "pro style offensive stardom" written all over them. RG3 seems to have the tools to dispell the stereotype that most Big12 offense QBs don't successfully transition into the pros. His potential would have more than justified a risk in acqisition cost, but what Washington antee'd up is far more appropriate for either longterm-elite Luck and Barkley than for a Big12 guy who was barely on the national radar this time last year.

So our plan B is gone. Any price is too much for a franchise QB and RGIII will be Washington QB for the next decade. Now the Manning race continues: Jets and Redskins are out, Broncos will not land him, Browns will go after Flynn, KC and Seattle are not in the Manning tour so it will be MIA vs AZ but look at the Texans, they could be in the mix. Ross must give Manning everything he wants

I'm not sure washington didn't just **** RG III in his ass.... washington is where nfl players go and die... what a horrible ****ing franchise.

I'd be surprised if he lasted in washington for a decade... I would have liked his chances if he managed to go to any team besides washington and maybe oakland...

I respect Washington's ability to pull the trigger.... I question their aim
