That's right!

All real Dolfans will be rooting for losses from here on out. That doesn't make us bad fans, just smart fans given the way the draft works and given the good/great QB class coming out - particularly Andrew Luck.

The best thing for us now is Ireland & Sparano out, and Luck in!

With all due respect, that idea ain't worth a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin getting it on.
 
Please . . . I rather them try to win and show their incompatence and lose the game before I root for them to lose. You get on that bandwagon by yourself.

Detriot didn't tank one season, get their guy and then go 3-0.

Detroit Sucked for 10+ years drafting in the top 10 and had multiple seasons with less then 5 wins with one of those seasons being ZERO wins.

As bad as the last few years have been they haven't been detroit bad. We don't want that here.

Count me in the fake fan cheering for the aqua and orange category.

While I want the team to improve, REAL fans will never root vs them.

SUCK FOR LUCK? WORST. IDEA. EVER.
 
If we get Luck we get Luck, but don't be a damned fool. We want to kick other teams *****. You're a born loser if you don't have that mentality.
 
The worst thing that could happen this season is going 7-9.....as usual.
We'd end up mid draft, this regime would get "another chance", and Finheaven be pissing and moaning over the same things next year.

I personally don't see any good in us having another "okay" year. Just my .02.

Perspective from a life long Detroit fan that I work with when we were talking about losing as I was ranting about Miami:

Dolphins fans don't even understand how bad Detroit has been over the years, I am 36 years old and I have only watched them win 1 playoff game my entire life.

How old are you? Don't you remember 1-15 in 2007? I'm a Bills fan, and even I felt sorry for the Fins and their fans when they suffered through that season.

I remember how it felt last year when the Bills kept getting their butts handed to them in various ways when they started out 0-8. No over-hyped college boy QB is worth suffering that, and a fan who roots for his/her team to lose isn't a fan at all.

Answer me this, genius: what happens if you get your wish and the team "sucks for Luck" and Luck turns out to be a Ryan Leaf, a Joey Harrington or a JaMarcus Russell?

Who would you rather have as your QB: Phillip Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger or Eli Manning? Alex Smith or Aaron Rodgers?

Yet more persuasive ammunition in my crusade to actually have to earn Thread-Starting privileges after fulfilling both 45days FH membership + 45 posts. I'm starting to think 60 on each may be even better.
