Go, Go Go

You think you've the only one been around football there whole life?

If what your saying is true, how come our running game has actually produced these past few weeks? How do we even get a first down? It's not a big of a deal, your trying to make it a big deal there's nothing there..

So me where Tannehill saying go or go go has actually put us at a disadvantage? I'll be waiting. It's basically the same as a defense being in cover 2, I can look at the tv and say "Well the d is in cover 2". Explain to me how that doesn't benefit an offense?

Correct grammar first then I will take you seriously.

I can promise you, and not being arrogant about, that I have a LOT of experience at QB and football in general. I am NOT just an average guy posting thoughtless crap. This IS a concern that needs to be addressed. I was HOPEFUL that it would be something that we fixed to throw the Patsies off, but it wasn't. I was disappointed. Even my WIFE, who HATED me playing football has noticed it. She brought it up this past Sunday BEFORE I did! I laughed and said, "I hope this doesn't come back and bite us later in the game." I was feeling pretty confident after putting up a nice comfy 14 point lead. But the problem DID hit us and I had this discussion with my wife in a nutshell after it was 17-10: "If we do not do SOMETHING about changing the snap count, we will NOT win this game. They are keying on, just like Bills did and it is an issue that was resolved as one of their halftime adjustments."

Guess what? We lost 27-17. Why because most of the sack HAPPENED in the second half because of "Go." The big fumble happened. Why? Because No one on the defense respected the run because they did NOT HEAR the cadence to make them respect it. It's elementary and disturbing.

You have posted that you watch games multiple times, and all I ask for is a few plays where this mattered. If you did not, just say you did not, and we will go by your experience.

A little side note, as I have learned, taking on Phinatic for knowledge and experience, is pretty much like pissing in the wind. JMO

with all due respect i am sure some of us who are arguing this point against you (myself included) have played or been around the game as well, but we are not using our own personal experience as the basis for our side of this debate. If we are in fact giving up a pass or run as you folks insist on every play, we would by far have the most inept offense in the entire nfl.

What people aren't understanding is that it has nothing to do with tipping the snap count. We're tipping the freaking play. I played middle linebacker and have coached for over ten years in youth and high school. I agree with previous poster about not having to read my keys because the qb is handing me the information. This is a huge advantage to lb,s and de,s in my opinion. One go drop back, or pass rush. Two gos, go kill the one running back in the backfield. I think teams are picking this up and using it in the second half when they realize that we have not gone away from this count for even one play. If we were using it 90 percent of the time I would be okay with it. But folks it is 100 percent of the time.... No exceptions to the rule...100 percent. I also don't think it's taught I think it's just in tannys head and needs to be repped.

So the ones who have a problem with the Dolphins cadence have all played football before. As if I haven't, or South Beach, or Phinatic and countless others who don't see the issue with the cadence.

Great to know.

I don't put blame on anyone. I have never started, or EVEN COMMENTED in a thread that calls coaches or GMs out. MAYBE with the exception of Sherman's tendency to go away from the running game or abandon it all together way too early in the game.

I am NOT saying that defense is let on to the EXACT run or pass play we're trying to execute. But it is SO OBVIOUS that they are let on to what they DO NOT have to be concerned about. How can you NOT see that? It's amazing to me. They are clued BY the go or GO GO, to immediately thereafter, concern themselves with one or the other. There IS an issue here. To not understand that is beyond me. I played QB for more than TWENTY years and I can NOT imagine giving the defense this much of a clue. The snap count NEEDS to be changed. The way you CALL it needs to be changed. IT DOES keep the defense off balance. And IT DOES disallow them from KNOWING what is coming. Give me another REASON that we have lost fumbles, thrown more INTS, given up MORE sacks late in games than earlier. NOT saying that these problems haven't reared their ugly heads early in games (FOR THE REASONS I have STATED). But the defense is coming full on later in the game because they have been put into a comfortable position KNOWING what each snap count MEANS.

Now, please refute THAT.

Is typing in caps supposed to signify something that lower case doesn't?

You never answered my question. How were the Dolphins able to average 5 yds a carry if the cadence is an issue? You then point out turnovers. Tannehill's first INT was one he shouldn't have thrown b/c of the coverage. That isn't a cadence problem. His second INT was a desperation heave that made no sense. That wasn't a cadence problem.

The sacks given up? You really believe the cadence is contributing to the ****ty OL play? Philbin, Sherman and Tannehill were all here last year. Why was the cadence not an issue then?

When you resort to this you've lost the argument...

To go along with that, when you have to state your "credentials" to prove to others why your argument is valid it is probably because you had weak argument to begin with.

Correct grammar first then I will take you seriously.

Shouldn't that be, "Correct grammar first, then I will take you seriously?" Or, "Correct grammar first; then I will take you seriously?"

Well I believe we're 26 out of 32 teams in rushing offense so the question continues, does go, go go tip off D. I wish we were in the top 10 and I would concede it doesn't hurt but 26?

That's all you got?

Another win for your friendly neighborhood Phinatic.

It is supposed to be that, but hey win you lose an argument you have to resort to kindergarten "attacks"

Oh and something else I need to say....

Irony. This post is the definition of irony.

I like how SCall thumbs up what you said as if it validates his point. What you're not understanding is that Miami is 13th in the league with a 4.1 yard per carry average and they have run the fourth least amount of running plays in the league. So....logic would say that if they ran the ball 5 more times a game, they'd add on 20 more yards a game to their total numbers. Or 7 more times, 10 more times, etc.

The cadence, once again, is not hindering this part of the offense.

Oh and for the "they're 26th in the league in rushing" statistic, there are 14 teams in front of them that have played one more game than Miami has. If the Dolphins were to gain 100 yds of offense this week, they'd jump up almost 8 spots near teams who have played 8 games already.

I honestly don't know for sure if this gives the defense an edge or not, though I am going to say probably not.

By the time he says "Go" or "Go Go" the ball has already been snapped and the play is happening. If you are a cornerback that isn't moving and waiting to hear the call, by the time it registers you are probably out of position. A corner is going to be doing a job that was assigned before the "Go" or "Go Go" comes out of Ryan's mouth. Same with linebackers and defensive lineman, if they are waiting to hear what Ryan is going to say they are going to be out of position once they realize it is a run or pass. They have to be doing their job right as the ball is snapped, not a half second or full second later.

Tannehill should stop doing it just because it's driving me crazy. now I can't stop paying attention to it... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
